Question:	How deep are these burner covers
Answer:	I called the company directly and asked them. They said as long as I had a type "a" burner it would work( or something like that, it's been a while). It did fit, it lifted the canner up an extra bit. The range I was working with let the canner slump to one side, pushing the element under the stove. This is very sturdy. I still had damage to the surrounding area, but since the range was well used and rusty anyway, it's hard to tell if it was truly the elements fault. I moved to another house and use it now and have not seen any damage to the range to date.. It's a hot point , the last stove was a may tag. As long as it has those two prong things at the end it seems to work.

Answer:	The canner burner element is raised higher above the range top than the regular burner element. This allows for air to circulate under very large pots like canning pots, lobster pots, and big stock pots. On my JennAir range, insufficient air circulation resulted in the burner's being shut off while I was trying to boil large pots of water. It also caused discoloration of the stainless steel range top. The canner element supposedly prevents this, but so far, I have only used it for frying pans.

Answer:	If you are using them on a regular electric stove top you have a good 1/2 inch between the burner and the cover - when the cover is sitting on the burner. I hope that helps? And I think they look TERRIFIC too!!!

Answer:	I don't know the exact size, but I have an ordinary electric stove top. it has 4 units. 2 large and 2 smaller ones. These fit perfectly.

Answer:	No sorry but these should be a lot easier to clean then the grates, simply wipe off with a soapy rag. the dimensions are 21 x 11.6 x 1.8 inches
