Answer:	I have found no way to pair this receiver with a "real" (official) xbox 360 controller. Various things on the product page seem to imply 2 main things in that regard. 1) that the way they mean that you can use "up to 4 simultaneously", is if you actually plug in *4 separate receivers*. meaning, you can only use 1 controller *per receiver*. and 2) that the receiver cannot be used with *any* controller *other than the one it shipped with*. I assume that some, if not all, of the answers saying that they were able to use this with other controllers, or able to use 2 controllers at the same time, probably meant that they were able to use more than one controller at a time *when using separate receivers*. That would basically be the same as plugging in several wired controllers to several different usb ports, and I see no reason why that wouldn't work. So I don't think they meant that they were able to sync/pair this *receiver* with other controllers, either simultaneously or singly. Personally, I had one "real" 360 controller (that didn't come with a receiver) and wanted to be able to use several 360 controllers on my pc *without* having to use multiple usb ports. So I *thought* this "bundle" would be a pretty good deal, since I'd get both a receiver AND a second controller to use. Like, "two birds with one stone" and the price was similar to what I'd have to pay for a receiver on it's own. The other answers and such that I skimmed over seemed to imply that there was a very good chance I could do that. But now that I've actually had some experience with it, that doesn't seem to be the case *at all*. So I'm basically just going to go ahead and track down a 360 receiver that has a sync button (AND make sure that it's stated that the receiver can be used with 4 *official* controllers on 1 receiver *simultaneously*).

You have to do it through the actual x box settings and turn on that feature (which you can navigate with your new remote!) it is simple to do, if needed a quick you tube search and there are several videos that show step by step how to navigate the fields and selections.. After you activate, TV powers on when you press the x box on botton (big green button). on my TV the remote lets me control volume and change channels. I like this remote just as well as the x box factory one (this one is about a 3rd of the cost!) You can do it!
