The PS5's 3D audio will work with the XM4s. I have had the XM3 model for 2 years and I absolutely love them. They work great with my PS4. This model has cool oval ear cups and an improved mic. I currently have a Razer Kraken 7.1 v1 and 7.1 v2. Gave the v1 to my wife and bought the new Razer Kraken 2019 for her to replace it. About 1 year ago I bought the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition with THX and returned it. The sound and the mic was horrible. The Razer Kracken 2019 uses this free software to simulate 7.1 surround https://www.razer.com/7.1-surround-sound . I should get my wife's new pair today. |

When you want to plug it into the Xbox, you switch it to "Xbox". Switch, PS4, etc., all work when the adapter is set to "USB". However, the Arctis 1 headsets that are not labeled Xbox do not have that switch and therefore cannot be used with the Xbox. |

| Answer: | Yes, the USB connector is all that is needed to connect the headset to the PC. You attach the headset to to the USB dongle with the 3.5mm jack, and then the dongle to the PC via USB. This allows you to use the built in sound card and 7.1 surround when connected to the PC. The 3.5mm jack is mainly meant to be used when using the headset with a mobile device or with the PS4. I came from the Turtle Beach x12 headset where I needed a USB port, AND audio/mic jack. But with the HyperX Could II, you only need the USB port. |
