Question:	I cant get the dim control (f11 and f 12) to work
Answer:	To get the the dim control function keys to work, you must first hold down the "Fn" key (found in the lower, right-hand corner of the keyboard, to the immediate right of the right-hand "Alt" key). All of the 'alternative' functions found in the function key row, along the top of the keyboard require the 'Fn' key to be depressed, first. IHTH.

Answer:	They are indeed Kailh switches, produced by a manufacter overseas. Whether or not they have the longevity of Cherry MX Blues is up for grabs, but the fact that Thermaltake is putting a five year warranty behind these switches makes me confident they will last. The blue Kailh switches are a little heavier than Cherry Blues, striking a balance between the feel of Cherry Blues and Cherry Greens. I personally love the resistance, since Cherry blues are a tad too light for me. For under seventy dollars, this keyboard is a steal. Go ahead, give it a try.

Answer:	Did you mean its upper closer colour? It is metalic-grey, not silver. If you want to get a silver colour, G413 Silver is the alternative option.

Answer:	All I can figue is that they don't want to spend the $5 to integrate a USB hub into the keyboard. Because if you plug both the cables coming from the keyboard into an unpowered hub and then plug the single cable from the hub into your computer, everything works fine. The only thing I can imagine is that the power draw might require more than USB 2.0 can deliver and they don't want to require a USB 3.0 port to plug their keyboard in. However, the fact that keyboards with illumination and USB passthrough exist, and work on USB 2.0, such as the Logitech G19, pretty much destroy my argument for any valid reason for two cables other than simply being cheap and cutting corners.

Answer:	I am not using it on OSX, however I do use it with a linux system. The original poster wasn't worried about the RGB and lighting but if you are there is free software you can easily find on Github called CKB-NXT that works really nicely and is not resource heavy that should also work on a mac.

Answer:	I can confirm that it does not work with the TESmart DisplayPort KVM switch. Perhaps it requires a USB 3.0 connector.

Answer:	The top of the Apex 7 is plastic (despite being advertised as "aircraft grade aluminum") so it feels cheaper. The customization software is far more intuitive than iCUE and the board can handle 15 hardware effects instead of the 5 on the K95 Platinum or K70 Mk.2 (but it also can't do more via software like the Corsair). No RGB logo/lightbar or dedicated media keys, but instead you get an OLED screen and can still access media keys via the roller and button (the roller clicks down too).
Question:	States "whisper quiet switches", does it have membrane style switches? Need something more quiet than red switches, which to me are pretty loud
Answer:	The Apex 3 with the quiet switches is indeed MUCH quieter than any of the other options on the market I have found (including Cherry Red's, etc.). I would absolutely consider this a reduction in noise and is not clicky. Others must be referring to the other various flavors of keys versus this model.

Answer:	I'm not sure, but my "1" and all of the numbers or symbols are never illuminated. I think I turned off the keyboard illumination as soon as I connected the keyboard. It's been so long ago I don't remember how I turned off the illumination but I do recall that there were instructions on how to turn off the glow.

If you pound the keys and “bottom” them out, they will make a little more noise. If you whack them with a 16-pound sledge hammer as hard as you can, you can get them to be a little louder. Make sense?
Question:	Are the "Enter" and "Shift" keys supposed to feel different than the other keys when pressed? It only seems to be affecting the two that are close
Answer:	I just got mine and I also notice shift,caps, tab, space all have a heavier feel to push them. I am not sire if that's how it is supposed to feel though.
Question:	How many usb plugs need to be plugged into your computer
Answer:	The K95 requires 2 USB 2.0 ports (one for the keyboard itself and one for the USB passthrough). However, if your computer has an available USB 3.0 port, that one port will handle BOTH the keyboard AND the passthrough.
Question:	What different between cherry mx brown / cherry mx speed
Answer:	The GUNMETAL K95 keyboard only comes with the Cherry MX Speeds. The Speeds are VERY sensitive (“hair-triggered” or "touchy") and linear. That's what you want for gaming so your inputs register as quickly as possible. Such a keyboard, however, is not ideal for everyday typing and would take a long time to get used to and your typing would be very error-prone. The BLACK K95 keyboard comes with a CHOICE of either the Cherry MX Speeds OR the Cherry MX Browns. The Browns are NOT linear—they are TACTILE, aren't nearly as touchy as the Speeds and make for wonderful everyday typing and a good compromise for gaming.
