Answer:	It's much easier to carry if the cord detaches, it's bad for wires to wrap around controllers like we usually do when carrying them.. You can also replace the cord easily if it should get damaged. You can also use any Micro-USB to USB cord that fits.

Answer:	there was never a gamecube game that required that input, nor was it possible on both original and smash controllers. There's no chance that this will have that functionality.

Question:	I'm confused, how is this any different than the older one? Looks to be exactly the same
Answer:	The new one doesn't use black plastic pieces along the top and bottom. It also uses LED's throughout instead of 2 main LED's illuminating a plastic bead around the edge. So, it's a little different. It also has different electronics inside to match those changes as well as updated firmware and packaging. Small changes. Not worth the "upgrade" if you have the original, but if you're looking for a new one I think it looks like a decent buy for the money.
