Answer:	I may be a little off, but I believe that renewed just means that there was nothing wrong with the product. They just take it out of the old package, cleaned it up, and placed it in a new package. The item looks practically new

Answer:	Each Joy-Con has a battery life of about 20 hours according to Nintendo. They are charged when you snap them onto the console itself while it is docked, and take about 3.5 hours to reach full capacity.

Answer:	No, but the joy-con controllers have a 20 hour battery life and every time you dock them on the screen/dock, they charge. So unless you're playing more than 20 hours at a time, you won't necessarily need a special charging grip.

Answer:	This Official Nintendo Charging Grip DOES NOT contain a battery. There are generic Charging Grips which do have batteries though. That's what I own. In my opinion you are much better off buying one that has a battery INSTEAD of this official one. I usually use my pro controller or play handheld so barely ever use either the grip that came with the Switch or my Charging Grip. But this just seems like a pointless rip off to me when I can buy a charging grip WITH a battery for cheaper than this.

Answer:	I’ve never had an issue. If you had the stand over the top, there’s no way it’ll fall out.

Answer:	Honestly, IMO, no. I don't believe the Switch would be well-protected by this grip, should it fall. (Heaven forbid!) It isn't meant to protect the NS though anyway. Leastwise, I don't think so. However, that being said, I do agree (somewhat) with "Nintendo Switch 86"; the grip grips your console snugly, especially in tandem with the kickstand wrapped on top, so that if you should drop it on yourself or onto a soft surface (like a couch or bed), it ought to be fine. No worries!
Question:	will it scuff my joy cons or console
Answer:	I've been using this particular grip for almost two weeks and, nope, there haven't been any lasting scuffs, scratches, marks, nicks or otherwise. Granted, I have only taken it off twice or thereabouts to check, and it should be taken into account that I use a decal skin on the backside of the console. Speaking of which, the grip has left indents on the decal sticker, but they're not bad, TBH. When I first popped open the box and tested out the grip, upon removal there was one tiny black mark on the back of the right Joy-Con, but just a few moments ago, upon remembering it, I rubbed it with my thumb and - voila! - it disappeared! Good as new. If you plan on using the kickstand feature as such or as an added precautionary measure over the top of your NS, using either method in rotation quite often (which, personally, I do), you might notice an oddly whitish scuff atop the console, but, again, just wipe it away with your finger and you're golden! Sorry for the wall of text! I only hope it helps you and others reading my answer.
