If your 3 computers are all on the same network, you can install Synergy on each one, and share the keyboard and mouse between them. It's seamless. There's no switching involved. Your mouse moves between the monitors as if it was all one big desktop. You can even copy and paste between computers. It's like magic. It's not perfect, but it's pretty cool.

In my experience, the dedicated button seems to switch faster than the hotkey. The screen swaps and keyboard/mouse input seems to come alive in under 2 seconds with the dedicated button, as opposed to using the hotkey which seems to get the keyboard/mouse going in about 2 seconds, but the screen catches up another 2 seconds later for a total of 4 seconds.
