Answer:	Make sure the controller is charged. There's a reset button (small dot) next to the charging port on the top of the controller. Answer:	First time pairing them... Go to the control option in the switch menu, hold down the home button the 4 lights will start to blink, keep holding the button until they start blinking twice as fast, then press the top front L/R buttons.

Question:	Can they be used detached from the switch
Answer:	If you use the grip that comes with the Switch, and plug in the USB I don't see why it wouldn't work. You would have to remove "grip" part from the bridge though. You can unscrew it. There are 3rd party power grips as well..
Question:	Do these have HD Rumble
Answer:	Sadly not. Though I wish games put more effort into the rumble. No game treats it beyond an after thought. So you don't miss out much.
