| Answer: | The answer is probably not. Windows DOES recognize it as a HID-device, but not specifically as a game controller. This means it is capable of some sort of system interaction as input. For the life of me, I cannot figure out what that is. The two ways I have tried to use this was for Mortal Kombat 11 through steam, where steam has no idea what to do with it and I cannot bind inputs to any keys, and with Dolphin for Super Smash Brothers Melee. After using Zadig to install Dolphin-compatible drivers and testing every available one, the controllers are recognized by Dolphin and can be configured as WiiU Adapter GameCube Controllers. But, upon launching any game in my Dolphin library, they cycle very quickly between being recognized and not being recognized. The reason I say probably not is because forum posts requesting help with this device for dolphin essentially stopped as of March 2019, and the Dolphin devs have assured since December '18 that the adapter works with native dolphin support. I haven't been able to get it to work, but the silence on the help forums makes me think I could be doing something wrong or may be missing something obvious. Sorry for the long answer, I have been trying to get this work for most of today and every Dolphin dev assures that it works...but I have not been able to make any headway. That's why I think it's fair to say "probably not" instead of a definite "no". |
