I bought one locally last night and I ran a test with Phantasy Star II, which is a JRPG and it wouldn't make any sense for it to not have an ability to save. It does indeed save. I'm guessing the other JRPGs and other games that had saves on the original console do in fact save as well. However, games that wouldn't save in the 1990s, such as Mortal Kombat, you can't save.

Answer:	The USB cable is just for charging, you can add Roma via the micro SD card slot on the side of the unit. If you need to update the firmware, there’s another Micro SD card slot in the unit that’s located under the battery. That’s where the OS is stored.

Answer:	I put it on a Linux system so I could see all the files. Windows didn't pick it up or show anything even with the view hidden files option.

Answer:	I pulled out the 32gb micro sd card, put in in my windows 10 laptop and copied the roms to the sd card. There is a folder on the sd card labeled "ROMS". Within that folder are separate folders for each emulator.
