Answer:	Because this is a cartridge, the load times are gone. But that being said, while most of the overworld lag is gone, like from simply walking or rotating the camera, it still exists when crossing bridges and entering patches of tree on the overworld. But so long as that one small bit of lag doesn't bother you, you can be rest assured that the game is much more tolerable on the 3DS than it was on the PS2.

Also, this version has amiibo support, which obviously a regular 3DS does not have.
