Answer:	As long as the USB is plugged in and the controllers in place it's charging. If you unplug the USB I don't see why you couldn't leave the controllers docked. It shouldn't drain or hurt them. I just leave mine docked and charging all the time.

Answer:	All rechargable batteries would prefer you run them down until they are totally dead, charge them up and then remove them from the charger as soon as they are full. If you want to maximize a rechargable battery's lifetime, this model is always best practice. However the real question is, how much more quickly will they wear out if you, say, just tend to leave them on the charger most of the time? It's sort of a statistical thing. A very few will have to be quickly replaced, a few probably it makes no measurable different. But for most, it shortens their lifetime by just a little bit, maybe 5 - 10%. There was a time that it made a bigger difference, but with modern batteries, not so much. The reason manufacturers tell you not to just leave devices on the charger all the time is just that's the advice that exposes them to the least potential responsibility. Answer:	Well, It depends on the issue of your Xbox, if it's internal it might be the system itself, I bought this to replace the power box for my Xbox one, it wouldn't even turn on (Note: I had the day one edition). Buying this improved, and helped my Xbox indefinitely to power back on. I recommend it (IF the problem with your Xbox is the powerbox itself)

Answer:	I have the older 500gb version and it works fine for me. So I would imagine that it will work for yours also.
