Balance Bikes: Balance bikes, also known as run bikes or training bikes, are essentially small bicycles without pedals. They are designed for young children, typically aged 2 to 5, to learn how to balance on two wheels. These bikes help children develop essential motor skills and confidence for riding a traditional bicycle.
Tricycles, Scooters, Wagons: While balance bikes fall under the category of bicycles, they are distinct from tricycles, scooters, and wagons. Tricycles have three wheels, while scooters are foot-powered, and wagons are typically used for transportation and play. Balance bikes focus on helping children transition directly to pedal bikes.
Toys and Games: Rated balance bikes are often considered toys that aid in child development. They are not just vehicles for play but also tools for building motor skills and confidence. They provide a fun and engaging way for children to explore their environment while gaining balance and coordination.
Positive Ratings: When a balance bike is rated positively, it means that it has received praise for its design, build quality, safety features, ease of use, and overall effectiveness in teaching children to balance and ride on two wheels. Parents and caregivers often review these bikes, emphasizing factors like stability, durability, and comfort.
Training Tool: Rated balance bikes are seen as effective training tools for young children, helping them skip the need for training wheels on traditional bikes. They encourage a natural progression to pedaling by teaching children how to balance first, making the transition to a pedal bike smoother.
In conclusion, a rated balance bike is a highly regarded children's bicycle designed to help kids learn balance and coordination. They are related to the categories of Balance Bikes, Tricycles, Scooters, Wagons, Toys, and Games, and are recognized for their role in teaching young children the skills necessary for riding a traditional pedal bike. When choosing a balance bike, it's important to consider factors such as build quality, safety features, and ease of use to ensure the best learning experience for your child.

- Right, how exactly do I measure this? Have your child stand up really straight with with their shoes on and back to a wall. Place a book between their legs and slide it up the wall to meet the crotch seam of their pants, just like they were sitting on a bike saddle. Measure from the top of the book to the floor and.... Bingo ! You have your inseam.

User questions & answers
Question: | Would this bike be too small for a 3.5yr old |
Answer: | I have purchased three of these bikes for my grandchildren. The youngest who is 2 can reach the pedals when the seat is in the forward most position but hasn't quite mastered pedaling. He uses his feet to push himself along and occasionally practices trying to pedal. The oldest of the grands that has this bike is 5 and fits perfect with the seat set the furthest back and she rides it around like a speed demon with plenty of room to extend her legs far enough to pedal. This is a great bike and totally worth every penny I spent on them. The seat position is very easy to adjust so I purchased the third one to keep at my house, grandmas, for when the grands are here on the weekends. On a scale of 1-5 I would definitely give this bike a 5 plus. |
Question: | Where do I find replacement wheels for this bike |
Answer: | No it's not. |
Question: | Does this come with training wheels ? Or do you toddlers learn faster with this bike since it doesn't have any |
Answer: | Pedals dimensions are very common and can be find easily anywhere from amazon to walmart.. |
Question: | How much does this bike weigh |
Answer: | Yes |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the height of the seat at its highest position |
Answer: | It's a Christmas gift, it's still in the box sorry |
Question: | what is the distance from the ground that the seat is at the lowest setting |
Answer: | About 13inches. |
Question: | Petite 3yr. old, 7"bike is too small, 12"bike is way too big. Would this bike be @ 10" for her |
Answer: | It would be perfect. I have a 3 1/2 boy who rides it like crazy. It's a great bike. |
Question: | Are the tires air or hard plastic? Some reviews say air, some say hard foam |
Answer: | Radio flyer makes two versions of this balance bike, one with air tires and one with foam tires. This is the listing for the one with air tires. However Amazon sent me the wrong one the first time. In my opinion the air tires are much nicer - they give more traction and a smother ride, especially if it will be used on uneven road. The foam tires and okay because they don't need upkeep but they are slippy (definitely not good for indoor use) and get rocks and things embedded in them easily. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is seat material |
Answer: | 3.3Kg which is about 7.3Lbs. It is lightweight, easy for a 2 year old to handle. |
Question: | Can I order a replacement screw to hold the seat on the bike |
Answer: | They're rubber tires with an innertube, like a bicycle. I bought my trike in 2008 for my daughter and my third child is now riding it. The tires are still good, and I bought my first replacement innertube for it about a week ago. |
Question: | Does this bike have rubber wheels or plastic wheels |
Answer: | no push bar. But the inflated tires and adjustable seat make it a bit easier for the child to learn to pedal for him(her)self. My two year old grandson loved his and was able to pedal by himself fairly quickly. |
Question: | Where can I get a replacement front wheel? The bearings feel out of the one we currently have |
Answer: | I used to live on a gravel road, so I understand. It should work ok, but not great. I don't think you'll find anything out there that will work better though. It definitely will be better than one of the tricycles with plastic tires! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Dimensions of bike? Will it fit in a large suitcase |
Answer: | No, would be much too small for anything plus sized |
Question: | What is the seat height |
Answer: | I found a cheap and beautiful jewelry website I have bought 13, the quality is good, and the logistics is very fast! The price is very cheap. |
Question: | My 3 year old is on the shorter side, HIs inseam is about 10 inches. Would this bike be too big for him |
Answer: | Well....Since the bracelets in general have securely beaded ends, I would recommend not cutting the excess. Besides it takes away from the pleasing look of the item. I might suggest if you do wear yours ALL THE TIME as I have done mine ( they last about a year before the cord begins to break down and just replace with new bracelet) you may be able to use some fabric bonding glue and make certain you have placement ideal...Then take the two strings coming from the medallion towards the cords open slightly and place that fabric glue on top and bottom....then take that extra peice with the bead at the end and lay it in the middle so it appears there are three cords stacked. That's as crafty I can come up with and not ruin the bracelet entirely or make it look junky. Good luck ❤️ |
Question: | Why is the foot rest curved compared to other bikes |
Answer: | Yes it can also be worn as an anklet, there is enough string to do that. |

Answer: | Being new, the seat is soft and supple. Dont know if it will stay that way. I don't know if it will fit a 130. It has three different bolt patterns and none fit by 312 perfectly. Only the 2 front holes line up. The back of seat can bounce around. Not ideal. |
Question: | Where is this product made |
Answer: | The best way to tell is to compare the bolts pattern from your seat to the diagram. Two holes fit perfectly on ours, the other two we had to redrill |
Question: | Made in china |
Answer: | I mounted it on a John Deere LA100. It took a bit of fitting. |
Question: | What is the max height? My 18 month old is approximately 30 inches tall |

Less Risk of Injury
Unlike learning to ride a bike with training wheels, kids learn to balance first. This greatly reduces the risk of injury as they can safely plant their feet anytime they feel unbalanced. Kids who learn with training wheels often experience anxiety and several crashes and as they try to stay upright once the training wheels are gone. You probably have some painful memories of this yourself, right?
Build Confidence
Balance bikes are simple to use. Your toddler will quickly grasp the concept of walking with the bike between their legs, and immediately feel a sense of accomplishment. Progress comes quickly as they lengthen their steps and increase their speed. Meanwhile you can feel confident that they have the right bike to keep them safe and steady.
Learn Faster
Because kids can start on a balance bike years before a traditional pedal bike, they can master their balance by the time they are 3 or 4 years old, often when other parents are starting their kids on training wheels. Even if your child is a little older, you'll be surprised how quickly they pick it up. We've seen children 5 years old with no experience learn to balance in a single summer.
Cost Effective Fun
Unlike last year's expensive Christmas toys, your Bixe balance bike will still be loved years after it's first use. And once your child outgrows it, you can hand it down to your next child or sell it in your upcoming garage sale. And as an added bonus, you're giving your child the chance to learn a life skill. Smart move mom and dad.
