Answer: I don't know about the $22 one you are mentioning. I have the $8.99 one & it's one of my favorite kitchen tools. It's so easy to use and the handle is very comfortable, easy to clean. It does make longer strands of zest than a microplaner type, but I use it mostly for my smoothies so the blender cuts it up finer. Good for marmalades and sauteed sauces, too. Just might need to run a knife through the zest if you are looking for finer pieces.

Answer: Yes. I have never zested an orange, but plenty of limes and lemons so I’m sure it would work with an orange. It also has the main part for the regular zest, plus the side option for the twirly garnish.
