Answer:	It does have a string. But, I think it is more like a traditional yoyo because it does not come back up very easily. If it is for a tall person it works better at retracting but for younger children it is frustrating because the string stays extended. I hope this helps!

Answer:	I don’t think you could, given the length of the axle, and even if it was possible, I wouldn’t advise it. You might consider a different Duncan yo-yo, that is responsive.
