In The Swim Patio and Deck Paint
In The Swim Patio and Deck Paint is a water-based acrylic non-slip concrete deck coating. Patio and Deck Paint can be applied to damp surfaces, cutting the time between site preparation and roller painting. First time applications will require a minimum two coats depending on surface porosity. Patio and Deck Paint should be applied with a 1/2" nap roller on smooth surfaces. Use a 3/4" nap roller cover on rougher surfaces. Coverage: 90 - 125 sq ft per gallon on average. If the outside ambient air temperature if above 80°F, wait 4 hours between coats. Curing time: Before foot traffic is 24 - 48 hours depending on the outside ambient air temperature.
Determine Area Size
Determining the square foot of the area you are coating is important. This will help you figure out how many gallons of paint are needed to complete the job. It’s important to take the surface porosity and smoothness into account when deciding how much paint to purchase. Start by measuring the length and width of the area. Once you have those measurements plug them into the formulas below. Divide that number by the coverage square foot of the coating you are wanting to use. That will give you the number of gallons that you should purchase. Remember to look and see if the paint requires a single or multiple coats and if it needs a primer.
Prepare the Surface
When preparing a surface for a coating of any kind it is important to clean the area. Start by sweeping, scraping, and scrubbing the area removing any loose debris. Then hose and scrub the surface with tri-sodium phosphate 10% solution. The solution will degrease and rid the surface of any unwanted contaminants. We suggest on smooth surfaces to do a light acid wash to etch the surface. The etching will allow the paint to adhere to the surface firmly. Hose and scrub the area again with the tri-sodium phosphate 10% solution. Hose completely clean. This will remove additional debris and neutralize the acid. Allow the surface to dry with no puddles or standing water.
First and Second Coats
In The Swim Patio and Deck Paint should be applied to a damp surface with no standing water. Use a 1/2" nap roller on smooth surfaces. Use a 3/4" nap roller on rough surfaces. Roll on the first coat of paint allow a minimum of 4 hours before starting the second coat. After the 4 hour wait you are clear to roll the second coat. Wait 24 - 48 hour before the area can take heavy traffic. Coverage: 90 - 125 sq ft per gallon on average.

He said it raises the cover out of the pool and expose it to the sun and wears it out. I took his advice and never used a pillow. I am on my second above-ground pool installed 1998. I have had many pool covers over the years and the majority of them wear out within about 3-5 years. I have had many types expensive 20 year warranty and cheaper ones. They all last about the same 3-5 years. I live in Southwest Ohio and have a 28 foot diameter pool. I have had this cover for about 2 years and so far it shows no wear. I purchased a leave cover a few years ago and put the leaf cover the solid cover. I helps hold the solid down during winds. When I get a nice sunny day in the first three months I take the leaf cover off and empty the leaves and sometimes I put it back on to hold it down during the Spring rains. During the winters I siphon the water off by using garden hoses. I have done this procedure for the past 5 years. I would provably purchase this cover again. My neighbor uses a pillow but he has only had a pool for about three years. He tries to secure the pillow but it come loose and floats to one side. I see this year he is not using a pillow. You are welcome to try my way or keep fighting with the pillow. Your choice. Wish you well. |

The first I purchased was one that was said to be new but was used and had leaky hoses, returned for refund. Second One that arrived was brand new but was damaged in shipping had to returned for refund. This last one is perfect so far and has updated single hose instead of the put together one. I Leave it running when grandkids aren't in the pool have not had to skim floor or water since. Note as others said you need a strong pump. I upgrade my pool to a Sand Filter,Saltwater Chlorine Generator, In Wall Skimmer and 1 1/2 Hp Pump. |

When we first used it, it would move across the floor of the pool, hit a wall, and then stop. It turns out that it was improperly assembled at the factory. Here are the steps to follow to fix this problem:1. Disassemble the Auto Cleaner and open the drive assembly. There is a good YouTube video on how to do this.2. After disassembly and careful removal of the cover of the drive assembly, you will notice that there is a large gear on the left side of the drive assembly. If you manually rotate this gear, you will notice that a plastic piece that resembles an upside down "U" will move to the right, stop for a bit, then reverse direction and move to the left.3. On the cover of the drive assembly, you will notice a small lever which operates a flapper valve. This flapper valve should operate freely by hand.4. CRITICAL STEP! As you reassemble the drive assembly, ensure that the small lever is placed within the upside down "U". | Answer: | The Intex is a fairly decent pool vac, but it will only pick up loose dirt and debris, like any pool vac will. Get your chemical balance right and use a hard pool brush (no metal!) to loosen up the algae, then use the pool vac to clean it up. I did learn that the standard 1500 GPH pump does not have enough output power to make this pool vac move. You'll need the 2500 GPH pump (which runs about $85 here on Amazon) and a clean filter to make it run good. You'll also find that the 2500 GPH pump does a lot better job at filtering your pool water. |

| Answer: | I use it for a whelping box and have done so for years. Here is how you do it. I keep my dog food in 5 gallon buckets that I get from Lowe's. I set the buckets around the inside of the pool to keep the sides from falling in. The buckets must have some weight so when one becomes empty of dog food I put a couple of gallons of water in it. I currently have 8 buckets around the inside of my pool. This is the best idea I have found for my whelping box. It is tall enough and the pups cannot deflate it. Hit is easy to clean. I remove the buckets, put the pups in a plastic kennel then sweep an mop the pool. After I am finished using it i just roll it up,wrap a rope around it and put it away. It doesn't take up much space at all. If the side get a cracked or you get a hole in the bottom, just put a piece of Gorilla tape on it. That probably would not work if you were going to use it for a swimming pool but it works fine for a whelping box. We put ours in the middle of our living room and we get to watch and play with the puppies anytime we want. You have to be a dog lover to understand that but we really enjoy that. If you find anything better than this please reply to this post and I will give it a try. |

| Answer: | I only used my pool for a month or so. It was just me, the water and the sun. So, I didn't get a pump skimmer. I used a chlorine floater and and hand held net skimmer to retrieve any debris. I also put the pool cover on it when not in use. I had no problems at all without the pump skimmer. |
