| Answer: | I use it for a whelping box and have done so for years. Here is how you do it. I keep my dog food in 5 gallon buckets that I get from Lowe's. I set the buckets around the inside of the pool to keep the sides from falling in. The buckets must have some weight so when one becomes empty of dog food I put a couple of gallons of water in it. I currently have 8 buckets around the inside of my pool. This is the best idea I have found for my whelping box. It is tall enough and the pups cannot deflate it. Hit is easy to clean. I remove the buckets, put the pups in a plastic kennel then sweep an mop the pool. After I am finished using it i just roll it up,wrap a rope around it and put it away. It doesn't take up much space at all. If the side get a cracked or you get a hole in the bottom, just put a piece of Gorilla tape on it. That probably would not work if you were going to use it for a swimming pool but it works fine for a whelping box. We put ours in the middle of our living room and we get to watch and play with the puppies anytime we want. You have to be a dog lover to understand that but we really enjoy that. If you find anything better than this please reply to this post and I will give it a try. |
