No need, though, as it comes with heavy-duty snap hooks that thread through the mounting hardware. Instead of hanging the chain from the link on the end, just slide the snap hook through a link that places the swing at the height you want it.

Question:	Can I install this with out the swings
Answer:	There are 2 decks, one is 4 feet off the ground and the other is 5 feet off the ground.
Question:	How long is the slide? And is the covered tower enclosed
Answer:	There is a recommended layout in the directions and on the website. I would say 2-3 feet around the footprint of the swingset. Their diagram is a little too much. I added sand under the tower and mulch around the outside of the tower and under the slide to prevent weeds and reduce the complications when mowing. I did not put mulch under the swing since you can mow under them without much trouble. The safety zone just needs to be the outreach of the swing so others don't get hit. Hope this helps.
Question:	how tall is the deck
Answer:	Yes, but 3/4 inch screws. The structure, once assembled, seems quite solid. Still, I am going to build "free standing" shelves because I don't think the inner walls (with shot screws will hold the heavy items I will store on my shelves. I will attach tip fasteners to the wall. P. S. I am very satisfied with the unit.
