User questions & answers

Question: Appropriate ages
Answer: My grandsons are 11 and 12, plus other relatives have joined in with them to play this game. It appears to be a hit with age 10 and older even adults--good spatial intelligence and stimulation.
Question: what skills are developed
Answer: It seems to develop your brain and is hard to work at first, try it it is fun to see how fast you can work them. It seems like the test they give to see if you are developing mental problems. I am 77 and at first had a hard tome doing it, as I worked it more it seemed to help me.
Question: good for 5-6 year olds
Answer: Yes, absolutely good for 5-6 year olds. To play the game one flips a card over and then matches the 16 puzzle pieces to the picture/pattern shown on the card. A person can play alone or race against others to match the picture. I have nieces and nephews who are quite young who love the game.
Question: Will the game still be "fun" after making all 80 cards? Any suggested "rules" for one person
Answer: While this game is designed for 2-4 players, there is a game ('round 3') where you look at a card for 10 seconds then recreate the pattern from memory, which you could do with a timer if you liked a challenge and were playing alone. While this game (like most) are more fun with additional players racing to finish first, there is certainly a way to play against yourself with a timer. As far as it not being fun after you have gone through all the cards, you would need an extremely good memory to remember 80 configurations, plus you need to roll the cubes like dice, so there is also the luck element (you can't just pick up the square and use whatever side you want (this is called 'Round 2'). I hope this answers your questions, but if not feel free to contact us again.
Question: what is the grade level this book designed for? Is it good for a 2nd grader
Answer: Level A is designed for grades 3-5. Beginner Level is K-2. If your child reads above grade level and has an advanced use if vocabulary or has already demonstrated analogy ability, level A should be appropriate.
