Answer:	I'm not familiar with Hape's. All I know is that my year old (at the time) granddaughter was quite happy to push it around and walk behind it. My ex tightened the wheels and she was still able to move at a good clip. Now she turns it upside down and spins the wheels.

Answer:	this fits Brio and other wooden tracks. the giraffe's neck is articulated to bend down for tunnels and make him a bit more lively (toddler must move it since it is not automated!) we have enjoyed this addition to our train sets.

Answer:	The wagon is plastic. The giraffe is half wood/half plastic. The body of the giraffe is wood while the head and neck is plastic.

Answer:	We gave it to our grandson, but I believe there is really only one train set but many different train cars along with trucks, plane helicopter etc. many pieces for them to use their imagination.
Question:	Do the farm cars "hook" together or is there a magnet that connects them
Answer:	This table doesn't have the waterfall which contains two tunnels. This table has the mountain area with the pulley. Even though my son never really got into the trains, this is a great quality table. It is still in our playroom three years later (I have taken off the tracts and use it for storage and okay area). Hope this helps you in making your choice.
Question:	It appears that there is no track included in this set. Is that correct
Answer:	It does. You crank up the crane by rolling the bar in either side. My son loves this set.

Answer:	No, it's wooden and meant to slide on the floor next to a wooden railroad set. It won't hold up to being used in water.

Answer:	Yes, I believe you could actually fit 2 in it. It is great. My 9 year old granddaughter got into it (wasn't supposed to!) but she weighs almost 100 pounds and there was no problem, she wanted a ride! Answer:	We cannot find and are thus unaware of any auto shutoff or timer circuit - reviewed the instructions, it is either on or off, forward or reverse
Question:	Are the railways suitable with the ikea railways
Answer:	Yes, it is compatible with Melissa and Doug, Circo, and most other wooden sets.
Question:	What type of plastic is this made of? Is the wood treated with chemicals? Where is this made
Answer:	It works best on any tracks. Best engine I've seen out there. Works on expensive tracks with traction and IKEA ones without any traction. I've bought two of them already (to replace the one lost earlier). It's small so it turns easier. It's powerful to pull 2-3 carriages up the hills. The best engine out there. Shame I've to pay shipping on it.

Question:	is it compatible with IKEA railways
Answer:	You have to unscrew the lone top screw where the steam would come out. The bottom triangle screws do not need to be removed to replace the battery
Question:	Does this work with the kidkraft train set
Answer:	When the batteries are new the engine pulls at least 6 cars on a wooden track with inclines, it can pull more cars on a wooden track with no inclines but it is noticeably slower when there are more than 4 cars.
Question:	Does this train work with the Melissa & Doug tracks
Answer:	It works on all wooden tracks. I have brio tracks, Thomas tracks and imaginarium tracks and they all work with this train. It is a really neat toy but it does not move too fast and batteries need to be changed pretty often. With that being said, my son still really liked it.
Question:	can it move without the battery
Answer:	I don’t know from experience but I don’t see why they wouldn’t. As long as they are AA size which is what the train uses. The way these trains use up batteries I think I might give it a try myself..lol. My grandson loves his trains, probably his favorite toy.
