| Answer: | I would recommend shaving your arm - it will work on hairy arms but your hair will be UNDER the tattoo and can cause it to look strange. I wore them working as a bartender Bike week and it was hot and sweaty and I was in and out of water and ice. I shaved my arm, rubbed it down with alcohol well and let that dry right before applying the tattoo. After applying the tattoo and it was dry I sprinkled baby powder all over it to "set it" and it lasted over 7 days. It did fade a bit at the edges by the end but overall looked good. the other thing you need to watch for is the bend in your elbow - you want to position it correctly OR apply it with a bent elbow. The other thing I have done before when I had the cracks at the elbow was color in those spots with long wear eye liner in a color that made sense - to just cover the cracked spots and it looked fine. |
