Answer:	There is no key in the traditional sense. In the top red center you have a choice of using "The Candery" logo piece which is an easy twist top to refill and take apart the machine, or use the traditional screw which includes a screwdriver. If you use it for your workplace, please be aware that it looks like it's intended for indoor use, the globe is glass, and using the stand may require a location where it can't be knocked over easily. This is a beautiful accent piece with (or without) the stand, especially compared to some candy dispensers, food dispensers, or acrylic options.
Question:	Is the mechanism easy enough for a child to turn without assistance
Answer:	I'd recommend searching for a "candy dispenser" if you're looking to dispense a variety of candy types. Technically this one is made specifically for gumballs. It may work for other small items that fit the hole (gumball size listed is 0.62" or smaller in diameter if that helps); however, it'll likely require shaking the machine to get the candy to fall the internal dispensing mechanism properly. Since the globe is glass, not acrylic, shaking could result in an "oops" fall and a broken globe. If you order this, look at the internals before you put it together to see if your preferred candy will be able to go through the internal holes. Also, to update another customer's answer, there are directions included for how to adjust the internal machine dispenser so that it can be used with coins or "free" by twisting. As a helpful note, it holds a LOT of gumballs so if it's not getting heavy use, then you may want to fill it 1/4 - 1/2 full at a time to keep things from going stale.
