It is possible to assemble this without English instructions, but the buyer should have experience in: 1. reading schematics, 2. have a multi-meter, soldering iron, and other electronic tools, 3. Experience in assembly of electronic kits as well as an understanding of mechanical designs. 4. There are no instructions on how to assemble the electro-mechanical aspects of the kit. You have to use the picture on the Amazon site and then identify the parts and do some trial and error in getting everything assembled in the proper order. I could not find an English set of instructions on the site or from the distributor - Icstation. Good luck and enjoy the "puzzle". |

The smart car kit is equipped with the IC chip LM393. Through reasonable circuit design, it’ll follow the dark-color lines automatically.
BRIEF INTRODUCTION
As we know, the light source has different reflectivity for white and black objects. Here we use red light source and it is reflected back to the photoresistors. By detecting the resistance of the photoresistors, the car can determine if it is driving in the black area. If the detector detects that one of them has drifted, it’ll reduce the voltage on the opposite motor, the car will correct its course to back the black area. The red LED show which motor is receiving power.There is a 16mm wide black runway on the back of the paper instruction sheet ready for testing. If it won’t follow the line, you may need to adjust the potentiometers easily. The process also acquires a better understanding of the circuit design again.
EASY AND FUN TO SOLDER
When the PCB board taken out, you will find out it is easy to solder because of the clear pads and marks.If you use it as a teaching kit, it would be nice for learners training soldering skills and learning basic electronics knowledge such as the schematic diagram, mechanical structure, electronic basic skills, automatic control, etc. It can be used to an electronics competition kit at school.
