My daughter is 10 and was able to read and create all the different codes (mirror imaging, moon codes, etc) by herself. However, even at 10 there are some parts that may need to be done/supervized by an adult (like boiling purple cabbage leaves to make purple paper or spraying a secret message with grape juice to decode a message). No worries though, there is lots to do without adult supervision as well.

I would call Amazon if you have a warranty on it if you don't have a warranty on it you might be in trouble. personally I put a three year warranty on everything even if it is just a cheap children's toy because then I know if anything happens to it I'm covered in Amazon will automatically replace it free of charge if anything happens.

Answer:	You can view pics /videos on the camera or your computer. PlayBack Mode: Select the playback icon from the main menu and press OK button to enter the playback mode to can browse local photos and video files. Press the delete button to trigger the delete function.

Answer:	If used non-stop, my son got about 2 solid hours. Now he makes sure to fully charge it if he wants to take it with us on an outing. He also switches it off (the switch next to the charger) to save the battery, instead of letting it rest in sleep mode.
