Answer:	It has a light inside and from planting to first growth was about 3 days. If you saw the picture I uploaded that was about 5 days growth with very little direct sunlight.

It will be a lush garden that will most likely grow taller than the container. You can always plant new seeds and start over with the growing process. Answer:	I bought this item a couple of years ago for my then 4 year old, he is still using it. But his brother, who was 10 at the time and used it! I would say it would work will for him.

Answer:	The crystals do not need light to grow so you could place them inside a cabinet if that is easier. If you choose this method, you may want to leave them an extra couple days. (we leave ours for 30 days resulting in 1 1/2"-2" points)
