The Lightview is really lightweight and is simple to put together. It comes with only four pieces that snap into place with each other easily, and also includes a simple instruction diagram to show how the parts fit together.

The On/Off switch is conveniently located at the top of the gooseneck, near the lens. The lamp is plugin operated and works with 110v - 220v outlets; you would just need to use a plug adapter to use it outside of the US, as the plug is made to fit standard US AC outlets.

The Lightview is really simple to put together. It comes with only four pieces, and also includes a simple instruction diagram to show how the parts fit together. Any necessary tools are provided in the package.

The On/Off switch is conveniently located at the top of the gooseneck, near the lens. The lamp is plugin operated (5 foot long cord included!) and this lamp works only with 110v outlets but is safe to use in 220v outlets with a 220v-110v voltage converter. The lamp can be controlled using a wall switch, though it unfortunately is not currently compatible with Alexa. Just set the lamp up, leave it in the on position plugged into the wall outlet, and let the switch do the rest.

Answer:	Hello, It depends on what tasks you are using this for. Many people enjoy using the different settings for different tasks such as using a warmer white for reading, a cooler light for crafting, and soft white for knitting. Answer:	Hi, The lens is aprox. 4 3/4" across. It's a very good quality lens, with no aberrations that I can see. I like this light very well.
Question:	Will this lamp clamp to an overhead joist in a basement over the workbench? Will it mount and work inverted in that application
Answer:	I'm not sure I have a clear picture of your application. I'm not at home (where my light is) as I write. I think the lamp head would rotate 360 for inverted use, but the lamp base is definitely designed to fit vertically into the clamp. I bought another clamp that is attached via screws rather than clamps, but still, gravity holds the lamp into whatever base you choose. I hope this is helpful.

Answer:	If the magnification is 1.75x this is a 3 diopter lens. If it says 2.25x this is a 5 diopter lens. The higher the diopter the stronger the magnification is. Remember that if you choose let's say a 5 diopter lens your magnifying lens will need to be about 7 to 9 inches away from object you are working on to bring object into focus. If you choose a 3 diopter lens you would be about 13 inches away from object to bring it in to focus.

This is additive to the diopter measurement of your eye (which changes with age) so if your eye currently is capable of 1.0 diopter, you add this to that to get a new strength of 2.0 diopters. The Lightview Pro comes packaged securely in styrofoam boxes for the head and the base and is very easy to put together. Just follow the included instruction diagram; no additional tools necessary!

The lamp's height can be modified between 55 inches to as low as 24 inches over a bed or chair, by removing the additional pole piece between the head and the base. It can even be used as a clamp desk lamp with an appropriate clamp base. It has a maximum outward reach of 29 inches.

The lamp weighs approximately 27 pounds, mostly thanks to the sturdy weighted rolling base. The base measures 3.5 inches tall and 15 inches wide.
