HOW TO-

The Lightview is really lightweight and is simple to put together. It comes with only four pieces that snap into place with each other easily, and also includes a simple instruction diagram to show how the parts fit together.

Answer:	The best distance can be vary from person to person, generally, the best magnifying result would be anywhere from 2" to 4.5" above the objects/small prints, the point is to see objects/small prints clearly, some people see clearly and feel most comfortable for their eyes with distance 2.5" while other may find 3.5" to 4".

Answer:	Dear Customer, it is 30x magnifying glass. When you use the magnifying, the distance between magnifying glass and books or others will affect the real magnifying looking.

Answer:	The product box shows "made in China." The product light is good, high intensity. But the product is heavier than similar devices.

Answer:	The product descriptions on says "Materials: ABS+Double Glass Lens." ABS is a thermoplastic polymer molded into the frame and handle, not the lens! I simply DO NOT understand why a couple of people replied with "acrylic lens" and "plastic."

Answer:	From Wikipedia, you can find the following formula for magnification power: [MA] = (25cm)/(f) + 1 Solving for f, you would need a focal length of 8.6mm. Magnifying glasses only work if the object is closer than one focal length. This would make the magnifying glass completely impractical, and is quite obviously not true. Summary: it's not possible to have a single lens that can magnify at 30x and be of any practical use.

Answer:	Yes, we just tested this and there were no problems driving a screw through the plastic. We also hammered a nail through one. There was no splitting or cracking of the surrounding plastic. You can also use scissors or a box cutter to trim these to any size you need.

Answer:	Yes it is. I purchased this item for use in this way (I have it in my emergency bag as a way to start a fire to cook). You can easily use the sun (even on a slightly overcast day) to ignite paper quickly. Keep in mind, items with a higher ignition temperature may take longer to heat up to the point where it will ignite and larger items would also take a longer time. WARNING: The concentration of the sun's rays as you do this create intensely bright light that is NOT safe to look at during this process. This creates a challenge of keeping the lens in focus, centered on the item you are trying to ignite without looking at it. Answer:	In my case the distance is from the eye. For the 2X lens the distance for me is 10 to 12 inches and varies slightly depending on the angle of the lens on the visor. I think the distance will vary Slightly from person to person depending on the status of your vision.

Answer:	Amazon will provide a tracking number when you item is shipped, however, they don't always use UPS, they have their own delivery system which, I find to be excellent as they will provide a location map (on your computer, smart cell, etc., usually starting when they are 10 stops away) of where your delivery is and it's a live map (updated frequently), which, makes it easy to know when the will be at your location!

Answer:	I did not see that. It is as it is pictured. The only thing that I saw that were not included were the batteries.

Question:	It says "handheld". Does that mean it doesn't lay on the page, it has to be held above it
Answer:	Yes, you can lay it on the page but it also has a handle make it easier to hold away from the page for those who need to be more magnified.
Question:	Would you consider this heavy for an elderly person using it
Answer:	My son purchased this for me, it works well for magnifying but ut it is heavy. I am not elderly, but I cannot sit and read with it. I use it for reading phone numbers or other things I need to see on a page, but it is no good for actually sitting and reading a book, which is what I really need.

Answer:	It takes awhile to get the hang of it. Hold it with the battery compartment away from you, push the compartment cover away from you. It's hard to explain. Use the arrow to guide you. I hope this helps.

Answer:	The lit magnifier is the same on both sides, but the lighting is on one side only. It did come with a second magnifier sheet, smaller and not lit, but effective. The lit magnifier really works well. I hope this answers your question.

1. Place the base of the microscope flush against a flat viewing surface
2. Ensure the LED lighting is switched on
3. Start focusing on the lowest magnification setting (60x)
4. Once you have a clear view of your subject, increase the magnification to your desired level (you may need to slightly adjust the focus again slightly)

A note on using the MicroBrite Plus in the field: Due to high magnification, the focal distance of the MicroBrite Plus is very short (maximum of 2mm past the acrylic base). It is not possible to focus on subjects beyond this focal distance. Looking at larger, three dimensional objects or objects that are not on a flat surface takes practice and a steady hand, especially since small movements are exaggerated with higher magnification. This is why we recommend viewing flatter objects on a flat surface, especially when first using this microscope.

Answer:	With the handle unfolded: the switch to turn the lights on is directly up the handle from where my thumb rests when holding the magnifying glass. I am able to move my thumb up the hand to the location of the switch and press the switch. I like my folding handheld magnifying glass and the lights work well. Excellent product. John B.
Question:	Can you use a phone adapter to charge this
Answer:	The magnifying glass handle is in the lower right hand corner for a right-handed person. And in the upper left hand corner for a left-handed person. I purchased this for my 96 year-old mother-in-law so I don't have have it here to tell you if it's comfortable to hold. My mother-in-law likes using it. I suggest you try it and if it's not comfortable for you send it back.
Question:	I see that a charging cord is included, but what about the plug? Is the plug included on the end of the cord, or just the cord
Answer:	This one is a newer/upgraded version which has 10 built-in led lights with dimmable switch, however, the other one is our older version which carries 6 led lights with only two brightness levels, they do have the same magnification power magnifies up to 300%.
