The other 8 will only have numbers 1 through 4 (with four tiles having red numerals and four having black numerals). You can use either set of 8 flower/season tiles during game play. The other 8 are spares. It's very easy for a newcomer to the game to think that there is something wrong with the flower/seasons tiles because of the above described differences, however, the above described characteristics are 100% correct and normal.
