13 best cards in magic the gatherings
Magic: The Gathering (MTG) is a popular collectible card game created by mathematician Richard Garfield and published by Wizards of the Coast. It is a complex and strategic game that combines elements of strategy, luck, and deck-building. Here are some key aspects of MTG cards:
Card Types: Magic cards come in various types, each serving a specific purpose in the game. The primary card types are:
- Creatures: These cards represent creatures that you can summon to attack your opponent or defend against their attacks.
- Spells: Spells come in several categories, including instant spells (can be played at any time), sorcery spells (played during your main phase), and enchantments (provide ongoing effects).
- Artifacts: Artifacts are non-creature cards that can have various abilities and effects.
- Lands: Lands are a special type of card that provides the mana needed to cast other spells and summon creatures.
Mana: Mana is the game's resource, and it is generated by tapping land cards. Different colors of mana are required to cast spells and summon creatures of corresponding colors.
Card Rarity: MTG cards come in different rarities, typically categorized as common, uncommon, rare, and mythic rare. The rarity affects a card's availability and value in the collectible card market.
Set Symbols: Each MTG card has a set symbol, indicating which expansion or set it belongs to. The game releases new sets regularly, introducing new cards and mechanics.
Card Mechanics: MTG features a vast array of card mechanics and abilities, such as flying, lifelink, trample, and many more. These abilities add depth and complexity to the gameplay.
Deck Construction: Players build their decks by selecting a combination of cards from their collection, adhering to deck size and card type restrictions. A well-constructed deck is crucial to success in the game.
Gameplay: The objective of the game is to reduce your opponent's life total to zero by attacking with creatures and casting spells. The game offers a rich strategic experience with numerous decisions to make in each turn.
Formats: MTG offers various formats for different playstyles and preferences, such as Standard (using cards from the most recent sets), Modern (using cards from a wider range of sets), and Commander (a multiplayer format with unique rules).
Collectibility: Many players collect MTG cards for their artwork, rarity, and historical significance. Some cards have become highly valuable due to their rarity and demand in the collector's market.
Tournaments and Events: Magic: The Gathering has a competitive scene with tournaments and events held worldwide, including the Pro Tour and the World Championship, where players can compete for prizes and recognition.
In summary, Magic: The Gathering is a complex and engaging collectible card game with a rich history and a dedicated player base. The game revolves around strategically building decks, casting spells, and summoning creatures to outmaneuver and defeat opponents. The extensive card pool, diverse card mechanics, and various formats ensure that MTG remains a dynamic and ever-evolving game.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this factory Sealed |
Answer: | As I do not remember how many land cards come with this it may be wiser to start off with a deck building kit from Walmart or any store that sells them. Also if there is a gaming store in your area that is licensed for Magic (wizards of the coast) then you should be able to get two decks for free. I think they are called starter decks but I could be wrong about that. The person at the counter should know. These decks will have land cards in them and are great for introducing someone to the game. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Would this set be enough for me and a friend to play against each other as first time players, or is there a wiser way to start an initial collection |
Answer: | When I purchased this pack I received cards going back as far as 1995 all the way to Shadows Over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon. Basically anything from any sets older than Kaladesh can be found in this. This pack makes a great backbone to a variety of decks but you will likely need some specific cards to bolster them. |
Question: | How recent are these cards |
Answer: | In my lot I had a decent mix of newer with older expansion cards. I couldn't tell you off the top of my head which sets they came from though. |
Question: | Are there older cards in this lot |
Answer: | The card are in mint or near mint condition. There are Rares and foils in the group. I bought it before M15 and a large % was from the at the time current release, but I cannot say if this will include M15 now that it has been released. There was a good mix and I bought it for someone that was just starting out and they were able to make several decent decks out of the box. |
Question: | what is the quality of the cards |
Answer: | Tamarin wood Natural wood |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can you only use this card "once," since it is sorcery? (I'm new) lol |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Can this card destroy token creatures as well? I’m new and i can’t find the research on it |
Answer: | to my knowledge unless the card specifically excludes "token" creatures, they too are destroyed. I hope this helps you. all the best, your magic friend! |
Question: | Is this card broken? (such as overpowered |
Answer: | My understanding is that this is still a legal card in tournaments. If you're going to use it as such, I'd check online or with the tournament director/group to verify. That being the case, you can have the standard rule of 4 in a deck. I think it being a sorcery and the 9 mana cost balance it out... but yeah, it can change the battlefield quickly and is still a very powerful card. |
Question: | Can this card destroy planeswalkers? such as "ashiok, nightmare muse |
Answer: | I believe it will destroy any planeswalker or creature an opponent controls. Protection from black, as far as I understand it, would not apply since it's not a direct/targeted spell at the 'protected' permanent and says "all." |

How to Draft Commander Legends:
1. Grab 3 Boosters and Draft 2 Cards at a Time.
Unlike in other forms of Commander, you can draft and play as many copies of the same card as you want. Remember to keep an eye out for powerful legendary creatures to play as your commander!
2. Build a 60-Card Commander Deck.
Add in some lands and build your deck. Let your commander guide you! Each legendary creature in the set can shine with the right suite of cards backing it up. Read them carefully and look for cards that support their strengths.
3. Battle it out with 4–8 Friends.
Draft with four or eight players, then play games in groups of four. Each Commander Legends draft is a freewheeling back-and-forth battle in which alliances are formed, friends are betrayed, and grudges are repaid with a vengeance. In the end, only one player will be left standing . . . until the next draft begins, of course!

We Have a Fight to Finish.
War of the Spark is the most ambitious Magic: The Gathering card set ever. With 36 Planeswalker cards and a cinematic story experience unlike anything Magic fans have seen before, it’s all-out war, and everything’s at stake.
Will you join the fight?
The Epic Conclusion of the Nicol Bolas Arc
In this final epic battle, Bolas begins the endgame, luring planeswalkers from throughout the Multiverse to Ravnica. His aim: to regain his godhood by capturing Planeswalker sparks.
But the assembled forces, led by the Gatewatch, aren’t about to just let that happen.
A Planeswalker in Every Pack
Each War of the Spark booster pack has 1 rare or mythic rare, 3 uncommons, and 10 commons. The twist is, one of those cards will be a planeswalker - including uncommon and rare planesalkwers for the first time.
New and Returning Mechanics
New mechanic Amass and returning favorite Proliferate both help boost your creatures.
Amass represents the building of Bolas’s armies as he continues his assault on Ravnica: the mechanic puts +1/+1 counters on your Army creatures, and and if you don’t have one, you get to make one.
With Proliferate, the strong get stronger as you add counters to players or permanents that already have them.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this in the correct scale to be used as a BJD accessory |
Answer: | I had to look up BJD - if I got it right, BJD is about 1:4 scale. These would be about 2.4:4, so about twice as big as they should be for correct scale. If you mean 1:3 scale, these would work out to about 1.8:3, so still a little too large. |
Question: | Is this officially licensed from WotC |
Answer: | Yes it is. |
Question: | Do the cards pass bend test or light test |
Answer: | I highly doubt this. They are printed on a thicker cardboard material than regular magic cards. Also, they are printed on a single sheet of cardboard, instead of two pieces glued together. These are more of a meme than a functional deck. |
Question: | Anyone know where I can get sleeves? xD |
Answer: | You're going to want to search for "Stamp sleeves 35mm x 45mm". They will be a little long on the side, but should do the trick. |
