Answer:	I haven't played this particular game, but I have hosted more than 100 game nights and I've watched a lot of Family Feud episodes. In team guessing games, if you don't have the "correct" number of players, one person can be the "Universal Player." With Family Feud, this means regardless of which team wins the toss-up question, the Universal Player will help that team answer questions, but they don't get to help the other team "steal" if they don't sweep the board. The Universal Player is supposed to give each team 100% of their effort to help them win. No playing favorites! 😀 Another idea is that the "extra" person rotates in and out of the game with one person on the team. This still makes the team sizes equal; but one person is always left sitting out. (It does give time for bathroom and snack breaks, though.) Don't forget the purpose of the game is for family and friends to laugh and have fun together. It doesn't matter if one team has a slight advantage of winning. 😀

Answer:	The game has a high replayability value. Between the scenarios, the hidden goal, the characters, the possibility of a traitor, and most of all the crossroads cards, this game has a great deal of stamina. I think it best compares to Battlestar, which is one of the top two games on my shelf for total number of plays. One group loves battlestar and has played it easily 40 times, another group loves power grid, and that has to be pushing 100 plays. I think Dead of Winter will be a game that sees much replay, drawing in the people who like the idea of battlestar, but don't want to invest 5 or more hours.

Answer:	If you keep the cards together with elastic bands, and separate out the various pieces and put them into bags, the after-game cleaning process will go smoothly, making future games easier to set up. Otherwise throw everything into the box. If you mean how easy it is to give it a wash or a dusting:1. don't get wet. 2. Keep in box and it will not get dusty, removing the need to clean it :)

Answer:	There are "curses" and one of the playable campaigns deals with exorcising the island. If by "mafic" you mean "magic" then in a sense yes- some pagan elements are found in the game.

Answer:	That would depend on how experienced a board game player your 8 yr old is. My daughter, who is 7, plays with us but she has been playing board games like this for several years now. As long as you are willing to help them play (which you can totally do in this game because you are working together) your 8 yr old would probably really enjoy this game. We have a lot of board games and this is a favorite of my kids (12,9, and 7).

Answer:	This is a great family game! No vulgar or questionable language is part of the play. Have fun!
Question:	The instructions say it's for up to 5 players, but is there a reason it wouldn't work for 6, with the addition of a backpack figure
Answer:	Mitchell said the wooden cities qtys and wooden roads qtys are reversed on the 5th edition (misprint). The qtys on the 4th (16 cities and 60 roads) is correct.
Question:	Is this more of a kids game? Is it challenging enough for adults
Answer:	Most games don't get several printings. Catan is one of the few that has gotten more than one. That happens when there is high enough demand to warrant more being produced. They also tend to change a thing here and there, like the robber changing from black to gray, or the box going from a square to a rectangle. A rules update here and there, and you have 5th edition. It's more about popularity than updates though.
Question:	Can someone tell me what the differences are between the 2nd and 1st generation games
Answer:	My husband and I play all the time. We don't use the "robber" but, if you roll a 7, you DO get to take one of the other's cards. The game takes a bit longer and you should always make one of your first choices a "3 for 1" trade port or you could be stuck without moves for a long time. We have learned to place our original settlements where we can collect the necessary cards to build roads AND future settlements. We didn't play for over a year because we couldn't find anyone else to play. We love the game and finally gave it a go on our own. You have to adjust your strategy and it's a far different game than it is with 3 or 4 players but it's still lots of fun. We love it!

Answer:	You can absolutely play with just two people. My daughter (age 10) and I play at least once a week. This game has a lot of flexibility if you want to change how you keep score or modify challenges to make them a little easier for younger players or less coordinated grown ups. This game was a quarantine life saver. You can do just a few challenges at a time or play the game in one sitting. Everything you need is in the box so you don’t need scrounge around the house to find items to complete challenge cards.

Using cunning, social deduction and some serious mob mentality, each player shouts out a related word to prove their innocence and tries to track down the impostor. Once everyone’s said their piece, the voting begins and the moment of truth arrives.

FIND THE SECRET WORD

Shuffle a chameleon card into the code cards and hand them out. One of you is now the chameleon. Roll the dice and use your code card to find the secret word (if you’re the chameleon just pretend!)

BLEND IN, DON'T GET CAUGHT!

Each player now says one word to prove that they know what the secret word is. If you’re too obvious the chameleon will work it out and will successfully blend in. If you’re too vague the other players will suspect you’re the chameleon!

SPOT THE CHAMELEON

Everyone votes on who they think the chameleon is. If they get it wrong the chameleon wins the game. If they get it right the chameleon still has a chance to escape by guessing the secret word.

Answer:	This is 1.0. Version 1.5 will be the 2nd printing of the game, which comes out mid-May I believe.
Question:	How's the replay value on this game
Answer:	Great replay value. The mix of different characters you can be, the random dungeons you enter each game, and traps you have to avoid make every game different. You have different levels of dungeons you can enter. Easy ( which is a relative term because it's not very easy), regular and hard. There is even a campaign mode where you gain different starting abilities depending on how well you did on your last game. Four different challenge tiers where you can play the game as a novice all the way up to fearless. Plenty of replay value in this game. One of those games where you want to play just one more time.

Answer:	The standard game has normal card stock cards. The premium version available on their website will have the plastic cards.

Answer:	The original rules are specifically designed for solo (or 2-person) play -- no variant is needed. One Deck Dungeon is a card game "roguelike" — a dungeon delve that is different every time, difficult to survive, with a character you build up from scratch. The deck consists of various foes to combat and other perils from the dungeon. Each card, though, depicts both the obstacle to overcome and the potential rewards for doing so. Castle Panic is a cooperative tower defense board game for 1 to 6 players, ages 10 and up. The co op element makes Castle Panic a great family game and the perfect kick off for your weekly game night. You must work together to defend your Castle, in the center of the board, from Monsters that attack out of the forest, at the edges of the board. Trade cards, hit and slay Monsters, and plan strategies together to keep your Castle towers intact. The players either win or lose together, but only the player with the most victory points is declared the Master Slayer. Players must balance the survival of the group with their own desire to win.

Answer:	It is still a problem, yes. While it isn't game breaking, and shouldn't prevent you from getting the game if interested (as the game is fantastic), it is off-putting to try to "mold" the boards back into shape to get them to lay flat.
Question:	How well does this game work for one player
Answer:	Cannot tell from here, but sounds like your shipping address changed or the shipping method you selected changed.. No US retailer can ship a game that heavy to Australia for $19. In fact, even at $43, the retailer would be taking a significant loss. To us, those look like U.S. domestic shipping charges -- $19 for standard shipping and $43 for express or 2 day shipping. Objective

Work together to defend your Castle from Monsters. Slay all of the Monsters and have at least 1 Tower standing to win.

Step 1: Get Cards

Draw up to a full hand. Then plan strategy together. Discard and trade cards to finetune your hand.

Step 2: Fight Monsters

Hit and slay Monsters by matching your cards to the board positions of the Monsters.

Step 3: Move and Add More

Move the Monsters 1 space closer to the Castle. Then draw 2 more Monsters. Place them in the Forest with die rolls.
