User questions & answers

Question: The contents listed above for 5th edition state that there are 16 road pieces. The 4th edition lists 60. I assume this is an error
Answer: We are working on making replacement cups available soon! In the meantime, contact us directly and we can help.
Question: What were the earlier editions of Catan like that they had to make more editions? Is the 5th a big improvement? How
Answer: If you play with only two people, it's no longer a game but more of an activity. I played it a few times just me and my wife and we both had fun, but it certainly lacks that thrill of competition when you play against another team. If you're looking to only play this with two players, I would not get it.
Question: On a different site it says you can play with 2 players here its says 3 which is it
Answer: Depends on their maturity level. I have a 12 & a 13 year old that play the game. They loved it from the get go and were able to learn and play the game very quickly. For younger players than that, if they seem to struggle you could probably handpick the cards so its easier for them to give clues or guess the clues given. But, like I said, my 12 & 13 year old learned it in one play and love playing it. Besides, this game can be played team vs team or all in the same team (cooperative). I hope this helps a little. Have fun! :-)
Question: Is this version different from Settlers of Catan? Is it an appropriate starter game
Answer: We just played it at my twins' 14th birthday party with two 5-person teams. It works best with teams of 4-8 people. Much bigger than that, and the caucusing part of the game gets unruly.

User questions & answers

Question: Where do I buy the extention for more people to play
Answer: Thanks for asking! We have sold out of the Foodie Expansion but have more on order and they will be for sale exclusively here on Amazon in late December or early January!
Question: I'm 78. can i still play? what about when i turn
Answer: It's definitely for all ages! I love it and I'm 50. My son created it when he was 7 and his grandparents love it and they are in their 80s.
Question: I saw on a youtube video explaining the game of Taco vs Burrito that there is an expansion pack. Where can one buy the expansion pack
Answer: Great Question - The Expansion Pack was for Kickstarter although we may be selling it via Amazon in the coming months. Thanks
Question: Is it made in USA
Answer: Thanks so much for asking! The product is made in China and I'd love to give you a little background that probably is too much information but thought some people might be interested as to how a 7-year-old made manufacturing decisions. There are card game manufactures in the US and most have extremely high minimum order quantities so when Alex (the then 7-year-old inventor) was first starting out with his Kickstarter he couldn't meet their minimum order quantities. We found an amazing company in China (The company's name is Bang Wee - Alex loved the name) who was willing to do smaller quantities and they were super supportive even though they knew he was only 7 years old. Since that initial Kickstarter the game has really taken off and Alex can order the larger quantities that a US manufacturer requires but he would still be a small fish for manufacturers who often work with big toy companies. He also knows that without Bang Wee he might not have ever been able to bring this product to life and they have been so good to him so he's decided to stay with that original manufacturer...although we make a point to review that every year and this year will go back to some US manufacturers to see if we can find a good fit. Also, finding manufacturers who work well with kids will be key (Alex is 9 now) as many people are not used to working with kids in manufacturing and thus Bang Wee has really shined in that regard. Also with the potential tariffs going in effect this month, Alex is learning a ton of about international trade which is such a great experience for him too. I mean how better to understand how tariffs work than to pay them yourself. We will update this Q&A if we do switch to a US Manufacturer.

Answer: Burn it, to appease the trivia gods
Question: Are the burritos made of latex
Answer: Yes!! My wife and i’s marriage is strong and going great. But I could see where this could boost conversation, as well as get you thinking about maybe things you’d like to do with your partner. We played this game on 2-3 rod trips already. Only bad thing, it’s pretty much a one time use. No point in asking or discussing the same topics over and over. Hope this helps!!
Question: Can I play with real burritos
Answer: Hey Shelly, thanks for reaching out! Definitely! Whether new or married for a long time, couples will learn something new about their partners when using the cards. Sorry! Board Game for Kids Ages 6 and Up; Classic Hasbro Board Game; Each Player Gets 4 Pawns (Pawn Colors May Vary) – Amazon Exclusive

Hasbro Gaming

Based on 3 reviews Check latest price

Product description

In this edition of the Sorry! game, each player gets 4 pawns (colors may vary) to move around the gameboard. Players need to pick a 1 or a 2 card to get a pawn out of the starting area, and then challenge opponents in this classic game of sweet revenge! It's an unpredictable game of strategy, chance and luck as players chase, race, bump, slide, and score. Be the first player to get all 4 pawns to home base to win. This family board game is a great choice for Family Game Night! For ages 6 and up.

This classic game of luck, strategy, and determination is easy to grasp for children as young as 6 years old, yet it's fun for adults and older siblings too. By drawing cards, players move their game pieces around the board, hoping to eventually accumulate all their pieces at the final destination--home sweet home. Sorry is known as the game of "sweet revenge," since players can send each other's pawns back to the starting line, thus forcing one another to lose ground and begin all over again. This kind of frustration may be hard for children under age 8 to handle. In fact, young ones typically crumble into tears of outrage when their pawns are cavalierly sent back. The only recourse is to teach children how to plot their own revenge, which makes them feel as powerful as superheroes.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this be the original version as pictured or will it be the new "fire and Ice" version? want the old one
Answer: My 2-yr old absolutely loves this game. She plays the game with us for hours. I bought 5-6 toddler/preschooler board games and no other games could ever have her engaged for that long. She gets confused about two aspects of the game though: 1) she may start looking for objects from a previous turn while undertaking the current Goldbug search; 2) reaching the island does not seem to be her goal of the game - she's too happy to share the food with the pigs.
Question: Is this better than the 2013 version? I would like to buy the original one but don't understand the difference between the two... Thanks
Answer: I would say yes. My daughter is 6 and she likes this game.
Question: Is this game as pictured (i.e. classic sorry with 16 game pieces) or is it the 2013 version with 12 game pieces and some super power discs
Answer: Actually 2 1/2 year olds love to just drop the checkers into the slots...then when older can learn game.
Question: Is this going to be the orignial version? Otherwise I will look elsewhere
Answer: I'm 35, been diagnosed with ADHD since I was 4. The answer: Yes. Unless he's still putting everything in his mouth it should be fine. And he's 10....sooo....

User questions & answers

Question: I have a 5 year old son. Do you think he would enjoy it if we read the cards to him or is he too young
Answer: It depends on how many ppl you plan on playing with. If your playing with 3-5 ppl then i would get the one deck. If your going to play with up to 9 ppl then i would get both decks. The NSFW deck could offensive to some ppl and is definitely not meant for child below 10. You could get 2 of the same deck but if you do there are some rules in that might need to be altered. Here are the rules: https://youtu.be/kAkRKuv5Rts
Question: What are recommended ages
Answer: Some warm-up activities played during the game: 1) "As you lay on your back, your partner has to tie your hands behind you and tease you all over with kisses and sumptuous licks.", 2) "Give each other two compliments — one about appearance and one about the character. Kiss after each compliment.", 3) "Your partner has to give you the ultimate sense-deprivation experience. Once they blindfold you, they should kiss you all over your face and lips, while at the same time massaging your scalp with their fingers. " Int*mate activities played after the winner has been determined. The winner can choose two of the intimate activity cards that have already been picked up during the game for the losing partner to perform. And again – as usual, discuss with your partner whether you want to proceed with the chosen activity or not. Some examples: 1) "Your partner holds a piece of ice between his/her lips and kisses your body. The ice starts at the neck until it slowly reaches his/her inner leg and int*mate areas, where the kissing continues.", 2) "Ever tried the Scissors Pose? The woman lies down on her back, on a sofa or bed, with her legs up at a 90-degree angle. The man stands and grabs ahold of her legs. He opens and closes them to give you both a wide variety of feels. Slow thrusts, loads of eye contact, and a hand between your legs make it even hotter." Int*mate activity cards are with watercolor illustrations. I hope this helps :) Best wishes, OpenMity team
Question: How does this compare to Ticket To Ride: Europe
Answer: No points. The person who gets hit loses one of their three card matches.
Question: Is this a good 2 player game
Answer: I looked it up on www - the materials in the game are paper and rubber. I assume the rubber is the burritos alone. I hope this helps.

SEQUENCE- Original SEQUENCE Game with Folding Board, Cards and Chips by Jax ( Packaging may Vary )

Jax

Based on 18 reviews Check latest price

Product description

It's fun, it's challenging, it's exciting, it's SEQUENCE! Play a card from your hand, and place a chip on a corresponding space on the game board. When you have five in a row, it's a SEQUENCE. Learn to block your opponents or remove their chips, and watch out for the Jacks - they're wild! With a little strategy and luck, you'll be a winner. For 2-12 players, ages 7 and up.

With touches of canasta, rummy, and poker, this game could easily become a Friday-night favorite. The object is to get a "sequence," meaning a row of five poker-like chips on the game board. The board itself depicts lines of face-up playing cards. Players place their "crowning" chips on top of the card pictures, and can form sequences by using strategy and knowing which Sequence cards to keep or discard. Since forethought, luck, and backup plans are the keys to winning, this game is probably too sophisticated for children under 7 years old. (But young ones can team up with adults.) Included are 104 playing cards and 50 crowning chips in each color: red, blue, and green. --Gail Hudson

User questions & answers

Question: Can you cross over one sequence using one of the chips in the first one to make the second? Or... can you create a second sequence by adding one on
Answer: No. Lo siento!
Question: What is the size of the board? Do the chips look the same on both sides
Answer: I would not add them to cards against humanity. Some cards could work for the way c.a.h. works, but majority would not.
Question: What size is the board
Answer: I was wondering how inappropriate the innuendos are? About 4 years ago I would of said no way in heck! However my 12 year olds come home and there seems to be NITHING I can say without them saying “that’s what she said.” It doesn’t matter if I get mad or laugh. It’s almost second nature and gets really annoying as I can’t say anything without it being taking dirty. Even though they don’t say it in front of grandparents they all start laughing and I know exactly what’s going on. What’s one of the dirtiest things you have seen in your game play? I have a feeling middle schoolers would kick our butts at this game.
Question: can I purchase more game chips
Answer: Yes, I am 56 and played it with my daughter who is 26 and a neice 25. They did have to explain a few things. I seen this game played on Facebook with my neighbor and her family. It was a fun game but not if you were religious

User questions & answers

Question: Is it suitable for adults
Answer: It's great for adults. Awesome for young and very learning for kids...
Question: Are the Latice Hawaii tile racks hollow or solid? Do they look as nice as in the photos
Answer: The Latice Hawaii racks are 100% solid in translucent blue. This is a nice contrast to the old Latice racks which were hollow (and looks great like in the photos!).
Question: Can it be played by two
Answer: We play two player. Love it. And our little niece and nephew loves playing the game. Just a really good all around game. And a really nice side note...our adult son who is color deficient can play this as the colors have a design on each tile that is different with each color. Plus!
Question: What does this have to do with Hawaii
Answer: I used to work in both Hawaii and Tahiti and during my travels was inspired by the myths of Pele and the Mo'o (and how Pele ultimately outsmarted the Mo'o): "For eons, Pele fought Mo’o for dominion over Hawai’i. Mo’o summoned the elements and the animals of Hawai’i to create an insurmountable challenge. Do you have what it takes to become the champion of Hawai’i?" While Latice Hawaii is an abstract game, the theme draws from Hawaiian themes in the use of sun/wind/water, the icons on the tiles (with the exception of the feather which was originally intended as a conch shell!) and even certain aspects of the gameplay (e.g. that there's no significant "griefing" where you're directly rewarded for "taking things away" from other players). I'd note that it was only after playing the game with a number of Hawaiian natives (and through their encouragement) that I came around to using "Hawaii" in the name (I was reluctant given that I wasn't born in Hawaii myself, I only wish I had been!). Anyway, I hope this all makes sense, thanks again for checking out the game! --Brent
