Answer:	Yes, I used paint pens on both the board and box and it’s held up fine for over a year now.

Answer:	The back side of the board is black so it would be hard to write on. I designed a game board and had it printed to the size of the board at office depot. My print out was sticky on the back side so I was able to just stick it on the board. This probably could work on both sides.

Answer:	Permanent markers! It’ll rub off with just regular markers.
