Answer:	Yes it would. The bottom rifle butt holder that hangs out the bottom right is not the only securing function of the system to hold the rifle. Each pocket that the rifle slides in behind cinches down to hold the rifle tight against the side of the pack taking a lot of the weight off the "butt holder". I carry a .45/70 long barrel which is a heavy gun and I have had not trouble at all. The pack is Multi and I mean MULTI-functional. I have no negative comments about this pack that I think of at the moment. I am getting ready to go back out soon, so I can report if any issues. I had a little issue figuring out the space bar that holds the pack open and there is no instructions or videos but I figured out what works for me.

This is a 90L pack. I have rarely needed to strap things to the outside. Gear choices are as important as bag choice. This is my long trek bag because it's huge. I took the shelf off to save a little weight. The rifle sling also serves as a great place to put treking poles. I don't hunt but this is a great backpacking bag.

HOW TO USE YOUR COIN BANK

• Adding Coins : Push coins through the slot one at a time. The LCD Display will blink showing the value of each coin. When it stops blinking, it will display the total.
• Alternate Way to Add Coins : Remove the lid. Add coins to the Bank. Attach the lid. Press the Add Coin Button until it displays the total amount of coins you added. To speed the display up, hold the button down.
• Substructing Coins : Remove the lid. Subtract coins from the Bank. Attach the lid. Press the Subtract Coin Button until it displays the total amount of coins you subtracted. To speed the display up, hold the button down.
• Resetting LCD Display : Insert the end of a paperclip or similar object into the reset hole on the underside of the lid.

NOTE:

• When the LCD Display starts to fade, it's time to change the batteries. The display memory stays on for only 15 seconds after the batteries are removed. Have 2 new “AAA” batteries ready before removing the old batteries.
• When the money jar is not in operation for 10 minutes, the display will automatically sleep (energy saving), when you want to wake up again, press the +/- button for 3 seconds, or directly add the coin to wake up and read the coin amount normally.
• Press and hold the +/- button for 3 seconds until the display flashes to adjust the number on the display
