Answer:	Nope! No electronics or batteries period! We prefer imaginative play toys for our kids and surprisingly, this toy and all it's different pieces get used in so many ways. We've had it for 2 years of very rough play and it has held up great.

Answer:	No. This is some of the sturdier toy food I have seen. Some of them I can't squeeze at all, but there are a couple that if a child was persistent enough, they could probably smash. The majority of the food is fairly tough plastic though. It's some of the round hollow ones that have the potential to be crush-- but you would have to be trying to crush them to do it.

Answer:	Yes the paint on the tray is not very even but it makes it look like a real oven tray that’s been used. I wish the pricing was better because of this factor.
