I purchased this 7+ years ago which is way past that date but from every observable measure it works today just as well as on day one. It doesn't dry out or otherwise show any sign of degradation. Question:	Is this really made by Melissa and Doug or a knock off
Answer:	No
Question:	The box says for kids ages 3 and up. Just wondering if the pieces really are small enough for a younger toddler to swallow? My little girl is 18 mo
Answer:	Only cutting toys are hollow. However, they don't easily collapse when squeezed. The child would have to apply excessive force to make them collapse.
Question:	Which set will I get if I purchase this? The one with the carrot being sliced lengthwise or the carrot sliced into multiple pieces
Answer:	Yes it is! It’s a hard plastic. The velcro (which is what holds it together) is pretty durable too. My toddler has been playing with it nearly daily for almost a year, chews on it, and “cuts” it and nothing has worn out yet. This is a very loved toy!
