Answer:	It comes with batteries; they usually last about a year. This is the second one I've purchased. I believe they are either AA or AAA.

Answer:	I don't have a length measurement, but the arc is too short to cross a standard pack n' play. You could attach it across the corner of one, however.

Answer:	No it doesn't. My newborn could not sit in it. It was not reclined enough for him. He is almost 2 months now and can sit in it better now but I was really disappointed he couldn't sit in it when he was first born.

Answer:	No, if they can hit it harder than just a tap it should work for them even if it is with a fist. It's not very touch sensitive, honestly my son bangs pretty hard on it to make it work & 97% of the time w/ his fist. I personally can't tap on it either, I either hit it or flick it hard.
