I purchased these for them and they LOVE that they shake and add an extra dimension to the noise of this toy. The only drawback is that these don't have "green" and they are plastic. Currently they are $8 (Prime) for a set of extras. They do hold up very well though considering the twins fight over them constantly and bang them around with the hammer and any other toy they can find. Answer:	We returned ours as the white drawing area was peeling off in the folds/creases. So while I do not know for certain if it can be washed or not, I would probably not recommend it be washed. I do not think it's made of quality material that would hold up to anything more than a very light cloth with water.
