Answer:	All children's plastic toys have a hole in them from production. You can fill the hole with a bit of hot glue before giving it to the child. It will greatly reduce the likelihood of water getting inside.

Question:	Would this be a good gift for a one year old
Answer:	It was a gift for our 9 month old baby this past Easter as he was using his hands constantly to "bang" and make noise. He loved it! He goes to the toy shelf daily and gets turtle drum out. He's more interested in the other instruments now though like the shakers. It was a great purchase. It's made really well, no thinness. The pieces are very large as well for those little hands. I would buy again. Later when baby is too big, I will be able to either give it to another baby in our extended family and it will be in good enough condition to sell!
