I don't recall if there was a starting age on the package but I would imagine as long as it's kept away from little ones that it can still be used on them. The bristles are soft but I don't know how easy something may come apart and be a choking hazard.

Answer:	Our brushes are made from solid beech wood, which is not easily damaged by water unlike more common maple wood brushes. Even though the set is not completely water-resistant (there's no coating just natural wood), occasional wetting should be fine. If your brushes get damaged by water, you can always let us know, and we will provide you with a replacement set.
