| Answer: | Most "glow-in-the-dark" products are made with Zinc Sulfide (short glow time) or Strontium Aluminate (longer glow time). Both of these compounds are phosphors that give off light after being charged. I would guess the "glow" in these bands is due to Zinc Sulfide since the glow time is around 5-10 min a "charge". To the best of my knowledge either one can be recharged indefinitely without suffering any loss of performance. The more intense the light used for charging, the brighter the initial glow. Don't know if it actually makes a difference. I would think you be able to make the design, as long as you have the 3 rows, the finished bracelet should look the same. |
