Question:	What size cars work best on this mat
Answer:	I would think about 30 minutes to 60 minutes or so depending on the child's attention span and determination. We took these on vacation to use as a project for rainy days at the beach. My almost 5 year old likes to take her time to do them perfectly and she would work on it for a half hour, take a break, then finish it later. My son, who is 6, has done similar ones but he likes to rush through so takes closer to 30 minutes to complete.

Answer:	2 years old may be a bit too early. I think it is great for 3-4. I have two daughters in 2 and 4 years old. I have the first ALEX art set to the older daughter since she was 3 and she was able to finish all the art set under my help and instruction. The younger one seems confirmed on what to do though.

Answer:	Well, I bought it for my daughter when she was 5, but she played with it maybe 6 months. It's cheap enough that it seemed worth it. I would think though it would be more for 3-5Yrs.

Question:	Where does the spring belong
Answer:	I believe under thread spool. I returned the machine I bought for my granddaughter, could not get it to work properly, thread kept breaking. Very frustrating!

Answer:	It doesn't need battery. you can directly plug it in the outlet. Didn't work for me long though. This machine is a toy so don't expect it to work that well.
Question:	How do you thread the tension on this thing. Thread keeps falling out between the 2silver rings
Answer:	My mother does it for my daughter. If we're talking about the same part, the thread comes off the spool, through the first little tiny ring thing (thread guide), then over the top (but between) the two silver washers sitting behind the tension knob, and then through the next little tiny spiral/ring thing. From there, up into the hole on the take up lever. She says if it's too loose tighten the tension knob, but she kept having a problem where the thread was breaking, so she had to loosen the tension. So, if you're going over the top of the washers, and it's falling out, maybe it's too loose. (I hope this helps; I wasn't sure if you were talking about the silver washers behind the tension knob, or the silver spirals on either side of the tension).
Question:	how to thread it
Answer:	We were very disappointed with this sewing machine. As far as how to thread it, in theory, just like you would any other sewing machine. However we discovered that we could never get the tension right. The thread broke constantly. We tried various different springs trying to get it right but never succeeded. Finally we just let our daughter use my sewing machine with close supervision. This item is great in theory, but horrible in use. Hope this helps.
