Power and versatility top the list of features of the Power i-MIG 200. The new digital IGBT inverter design of the i-MIG welder reduces the weight and footprint of the unit making it truly portable. The dual voltage design allows the unit to be used about anywhere a receptacle is present. This unit packs more features than any MIG welder in its class. Dual digital displays feature both volt and amp readouts allowing the operator to make precise and repeatable adjustments to the parameters. The stick function adds an extra dimension of versatility and performance when a MIG welder isn't needed or practical. The Arc force control controls manages the arc characteristics in both MIG and Stick modes. In MIG mode, it controls current rise time, affecting puddle fluidity, bead contour, and penetration. In stick mode the arc force control behaves as a DIG control function and improves arc performance in short arc situations. Automatic Preflow and Postflow control improves weld quality during stops and starts helping to reduce porosity for high quality results. The new adjustable burn back control reduces trimming required so the wire is at the perfect length for each restart. When you consider all these features and performance, the all new Power i-MIG 200 is among the best you'll find in its class yielding professional level results. User questions & answers
Question: | Why did the price jump from $650 to |
Answer: | Harbor freight Carrie's them |
Question: | where can you find the correct spool gun for the 200 i-mig unit |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | How thick material can it weld up to |
Answer: | No you wont get all the power probably around 140 amps max @120. There is no way around using the full 200 amps without using 240. Buythe smaller version if you dont want to install a 240 outlet at your house. A 140 amp mig welder will do most jobs around house....i usually go up to 1/4" with my 140mig anything bigger i use my 250 amp mig welder. Dont try to convert a 240 volt welder to 120 like suggested below. This will just void any warranty lol. If you asking theses type of questions just buy a 140amp mig ....there cheaper |
Question: | What is the thickest metal that should be welded when using this welder |
Answer: | No .035 is max |
Question: | What contact tips are compatible |
Answer: | Gracias por su interes. Esto no es un láser, es solo un enrutador. |
Question: | does it hold 10 pound spools |
Answer: | The E3 has a 17.7" x 15.3" cutting area and a 1/4" insets on the spoilboard. The E4 has a 24" x 24" cutting area and a t-slotted spoilboard. Both assembly manuals can be downloaded and reviewed on the BobsCNC webpage. |
Question: | If you have it plugged into a regular 120 outlet instead of a 240 you don’t get the full 200 amps? Is this correct |
Answer: | I suppose it could be done, but it is not needed. The Nema17 stepper motors have more than enough torque. The CNC can jog at over 200 inches per minute. and has plenty of torque for cutting at cutting feed rates. |
Question: | Will it take .045 wire? If no, what is the maximum wire thickness it does |
Answer: | The cutting area is of the E4 is 24" x 24" so you would need to tile the work by cutting the first 24", them moving the workpiece and cutting the next 24". Also, we have a customer that modified his E4 so that it has a 24" x 48" cutting area. Please contact us thru our webpage and I will email you the pdf plans if you are interested. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will the mig gun that comes with this unit work with 0.030 flux core or solid wire or do you have to buy different size |
Answer: | unknown- |
Question: | Does this unit run both ac and dc |
Answer: | It comes equipped with a standard 120V NEMA 15-5P plug which works in pretty much any standard outlet. I have been using it on a standard 15A outlet with no tripping of the breaker and excellent welding performance. |
Question: | Can you use mig tig stick on 110v or do you need 220v for some settings? On 110v about how thick can it weld (mild steel |
Answer: | It would be set to DC+ same as mig wiring. You could run the wire through the normal gun but expect issues as I have found any gun length over about 4ft to be useless us less it is 4043 aluminum as it is more stiff. |
Question: | is the acutual unit weight close to 80lbs listed by amazon? I'd like something portable |
Answer: | SOMEONE IS STROKING U. IT DON'T COST THAT MUCH. PUT ON YOUR GLASSES ON. I KNOW THAT YOU HAVE TO PUT UR EYE GEAR ON TO PROTECT YOUR EYES. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this machine also work on 50 hertz |
Answer: | It has roller guides that will work with .030 solid core wire out of the box, I think they recommend you buy different roller guides for flux core. |
Question: | Can I do dc tig with it |
Answer: | No this unit is DC tig only |
Question: | What are overall outside dimensions |
Answer: | you can run this welder on 110 volts but you will be limited to 135-140 out output (for example) with MIG. This kind of output is fine for welding sheet metal and up to about 1/4" to 3/8" steel. With the thicker stuff you will likely have to do multiple passes. With this welder you will have to do some practice welding before the real thing. it doesn't come with a chart of setting like some other welders. But, there are phone apps and other sources for this kind of information. I have this welding and I really like it. MIG, TIG, Stick.... it does it all. Plus the gas solenoid works in MIG and TIG modes so no external control of gas for TIG is necessary. |
Question: | What size rolls can I put? I want to use dual shield wire and I think the blue demon stuff comes in 11lbs rolls |
Answer: | Peter shipping weight is 80lbs and dry weigh 55lbs |

The compact PowerMTS 251Si is one of the fourth generation of digitally controlled multi-process inverter welders from Everlast. Taking our customer's feedback into consideration from previous models, the all new PowerMTS 251SI is designed to be as versatile as ever with not only standard DC MIG, TIG and Stick welding capability but also with Synergic MIG, Pulse MIG, and Pulse TIG welding modes. This new welder is a leader in the compact multi-process welder class as both pulse MIG and pulse TIG features are not available from any other manufacturer. Additionally, the PowerMTS 251Si offers one more distinctive feature: it allows to the operator to choose from a touchless, high frequency start or a lift start in TIG mode. The stick mode offers more adjustability than ever with the addition of hot start intensity and hot start duration controls. If you are worried that these features may complicate the operation of the welder, then don't. The unit was designed with ease of operation in mind. There are no complicated menus to navigate, no touch screens to press and no complicated hidden features which are difficult to access. All controls, including burn back are now located on the panel face right where you can get to them and are grouped according to function, with an easy to understand format. All connections are right on the front of the panel. This includes the connection for the TIG torch which includes the gas connection with a gas solenoid control over pre and post flow. Compare that to the competition where you have to make the TIG connection through the side panels or through special non-standard connections with only a manually operated gas valve on the torch for scratch start or lift start, and you can see how far ahead the PowerMTS 251Si really is. Well, it makes sense when you consider Everlast was one of the first to offer a compact fully featured inverter MTS unit in the North American market.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the push pull gun available yet |
Answer: | This machine works like a standard mig machine. If you have no experience with mig you can; 1: take a course at a trade school or jr college. 2: find an experienced mig welder and ask him to teach you , or 3: watch mig videos on you tube. I strongly suggest #1 if you really want to learn properly. When you have the basics - practice, practice and do it some more. Mig is a great process and is not particularly difficult. If you go the you-tube route I recommended Jody Colliers "weldingtipsandtricks.com" |
Question: | Can I weld thin alluminum with push pull |
Answer: | Both of the MTS machines burn 6010. Although Everlast may not put that in writing, there are more than a few examples, Lance from ChuckE2009 is one that has tested both machines, that show how well 6010 is handled. The Hot Start Stick option is a huge plus for 6010 as well as 7018. |
Question: | what accessories are sold with this welder |
Answer: | Mac is wrong. You can TIG Welding Aluminum using DC Electrode Negative and helium. Its not something you can use on all aluminum jobs but it is definitely something that is very useful to know. ... While tig welding aluminum on DC has its limitations, its great for clean thick aluminum |
Question: | gas regulator/flow meter included |
Answer: | I use standard Lincoln mig tips with it. You will need tungsten if you plan to tig with it out of the box I recommend the CK tig kits for a wp26 torch they come with collets, tungsten, and nozzles. If you want to run smaller wire .030 or smaller you will need to go to Everlast's web site and order the other drive rollers. other than that your good to go with some flux core wire. You will need Argon/CO2 for solid wire or 100% Argon for tig. If you don't already know use good wire like Lincoln. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this plug in to a standard wall outlet or need to be hard wired to 110 at the breaker panel |
Answer: | Great Question! The end caps are removable so that you can take them out to butt the end hard up against a ceiling or whatever it be. If you were to butt the end up against a ceiling with the caps in, there is no way to ensure levelness. |
Question: | does it come with the upgrades or is that extra |
Answer: | No, this level (I have the 8' version) is not magnetic, but it is lightweight. |
Question: | What is the duty cycle |
Answer: | Usually UPS |
Question: | I want to get a 110v Mig unit. How would this be for a "Beginner" model? I am also considering Longevity Migweld 140 and Eastwood 135. Thanks |
Answer: | China |
