Answer:	depends on what you are burning, I melt gold on maybe a quarter tank for say ten minutes, so basicly you have to know your metal and how to work it. other metals take less time because the intense heat is not required as gold melts at 1100 to 1200c.

Answer:	There are two primary differences in the torches; the first is that the TS8000 generates a much higher temp than the TS4000. If you're just doing soldering for plumbing, or extremely light brazing on very thin materials, the TS4000 is probably adequate. If you also need higher temps for the occasional light brazing of something like a lawnmower/snowblower part, then definitely go with the TS8000 with MAPP gas. If you want to do any cutting or heavier brazing, you'll need a different unit that injects oxygen from a tank.The second difference is the TS4000 is either on, or off with no control on the amount of heat, where the TS8000 does have a valve to control the burn level.I own both the TS4000 and the TS8000 and would always recommend the TS8000 for the extra few dollars. While the TS4000 works quite well, it's level of control & functionality are definitely limiting.

Mapp Gas and Propane Gas tanks should never tipped. There are particles that settle to the bottom of the tank, and also a separation of gases. It is NOT 100 percent propane when put into tank there is a very small percentage of other things that get placed into the tank when it if filled at the manufacture. The only way to keep yourself safe and your equipment safe is to use it in a correct way. There is also a preventive sealant coating put on the all parts of the torch head. that you can see with your eyes. Taking the parts apart lets the material travel through the torch and it will ruin the orings inside the torch head and then be a danger of gas leaking while in use. Remember orings only last for up eight years so even if your torch head is showing no signs of failing once it gets to eight years old your should replace the torch head for a new one. The can explode like a bomb if gas gets out the head and the gas is then ignited by a flame or heat source. You life and your family/friends life is worth the money spent every eight years for a new torch head. I;d like to see Worthington or Bernzomatic have a discount program for those that turn in an eight year old torch head that they registered at time of purchase and then the consumer would receive a loyalty discount coupon for a percentage off the purchase of a new torch head. Answer:	No it does not...they are beautiful lights and give great ambiance.
Question:	What is the difference between the ts4000 and ts
Answer:	The lights are solar powered but are activated when it gets dark. With a full charge (outdoors all day) they will shine for about 10 hours at night. In a sunny room, they should work, but probable not shine as long at night.
