Answer:	No, it is only activated by motion. there is timer for 3 optional continued time: 30 seconds , 130 seconds and 380 seconds. Actually, if you don't use the sensor, connect (need soldering)the power adapter directly with the LED strip, the light will be always on.

Answer:	Didn't measure it, but the lighted portion runs the entire length of my king size bed less approximately a foot on each end. I like it a lot... Ends the need to fumble for the bedside lamp for a middle of the night bathroom trip. The way mine is positioned, I can turn it on by waving my arm or foot off the side of the bed for a little light if needed when I don't want to leave my nice warm covers! Bought one for my 84 year old MIL and she absolutely loves it.

Answer:	Why would you spend $100 to light a bong when you can buy a nice $20 butane torch or a $5 soldering iron if that's what you want to use. This soldering iron would be capable of heating to around 300C. That's more than enough heat to ignite a plant based material. Is it the best? Probably not. Is it safe to use a soldering iron to ignite plant based material? I don't know im not a doctor. The problem is that if you want to keep a tip that heats well then you need to keep solder on the tip or it will burn out and not transfer heat. TLDR: use a butane torch.

Answer:	Accoding to the HakkoUSA website (under "where to buy"), ness electronics is listed as a retailer. Can't say if it's real or not, but that gives it a higher vote of confidence.Quick followup edit, I just took mine apart and confirmed it's real. Real stations use the R5F1007C chip. Fakes are known to use AVRs or PICs. Mine was purchased from ness electronics.

Answer:

The strip light package should have had one included. If you need a replacement power adapter, (transformer,) search amazon for a12V 3A power transformer and buy anyone that suits you. The voltage must be 12V output and the Amperage must be at least 3A no less. The connection that attaches to the motion sensor is a 5.5mm x 2.1mm if I remember correctly. Maybe too much info but just to sure it will match with this product.

Answer:	For TH soldering you probably won't really notice a difference but I have noticed I have a lot more control with SMT stuff using the fx951. It's honestly the best station I have ever owned even over some that are significantly more expensive.

Answer:	It is actually both, you preset the temperature, then can see the temp climb as the tip heats up, and it holds very accurately at the set temp. There are several modes it can display and it tells you when sleep mode is active as well.

Answer:	The simple answer is yes, but as a person who has done stained glass and electronics, this is not the right one for doing hobby work. Go on some hobby sites and see what folks use for stained glass projects. Weller is nice stuff. Look for this one: Weller WLC200 80 Watt Hobby and Stained Glass Soldering Station. It's cheaper than this one. If you're looking for an electronic repair soldering iron with super precise temp control and you just need to fix a single stained glass lamp...this is a nice compromise.

This quest results from a EEVBlog post in which the "expert" electronics blogger plugged his north american device(110v-60hz) unit "accidentally" into an australian(he is in australia) 230v-50hz outlet. In north america the outlet between 110v and 220v,240v are utterly different and cannot inadvertantly be plugged in. If there is an over current situation your breaker panel will pop.
