Answer:	I don't know the heat of MAPP with this torch but using propane I have heated bolts and nuts hot enough to have them loosen and of course I mostly use this torch to solder copper to brass fittings. It doesn't turn bolts pink but perhaps the MAPP would. I don't need the heat hot enough to do silver soldering. I don't know if the torch with propane will anneal the copper but the MAPP would. It is great to be able to twist the torch around in fairly tight spaces where using a bottle and torch head won't fit.

Oxygen tanks for welding, small to large, usually have a CGA 540 valve. You can also use a larger acetylene tank, which usually has the CGA 510 valve. The smaller acetylene tank usually has a CGA 200 valve, so you would need an adapter.

Answer:	The cylinder size is really academic. I employ the B size tanks. They are not as portable as the smaller sized ones, however I do not need to refuel them as often. as a consequence. I have only ever used the B size and the larger industrial tanks. The gas comes out at the same psi and is controlled the same through the appropriately sized regulators. Good luck and be careful.

Answer:	I don’t believe these spark arrestors are UL approved. Nor do I think they would need UL approval. The design is simple, and they work. Cheap insurance. I wouldn’t crack open a bottle with out them.

Answer:	These type fittings are brass against brass and need to be tightened snugly to make them not leak. Use a light soapy solution to check for any bubbles that form in the soapy water. If bubbles appear , tighten a little more. Don't use teflon tape. The seal is not on the thread area, but in the brass "ball and socket" area of the fittings. These flash back arestors are for mounting on the tank, not at the torch. Avoid flashbacks at all costs. The can be fatal.
