Answer:	Having bought a number of LED headlamps, brightness is important. First, 360 over 315 or even 260 isn't a big draw. Second, the important factors are reliability and battery life. Some manufacturers do better than others, top ones Petzl and Black Diamond ... similar to LED household bulb efficiencies (lumens/watt). But let's say they are all equal in efficiency. This means a 360 lumen lamp will use much more than a 260, so if the 260 is 'plenty good', fewer batteries to buy. Think of this as a battery eater ... like razor blades, film (dating myself), printer cartridges. It may not be the razor or camera that is the dollar drain, it's the batteries. Even if you buy a 360, it should have a lower setting that is usable because your batteries will be eaten slower.

Question:	What is meant by a low earcup profile
Answer:	The package comes with a 39 inch connecting cord, with a 3.5 mm jack on both ends. These are the standard earphone jacks, and it plugs right into my ipod and the earphone jack on my Midland GXT-1000 GMRS/FRS two-way radios. I listen to music while I mow the lawn. As long as you turn on the earmuffs, but keep the volume level at its lowest, you can hear music without the microphones picking up ambient noise.
Question:	Would these be a good choice for attending monster jam
Answer:	I've used mine for yard care and with them on they block out the noise of a lawnmower, weed-eater, edger and leaf blower(with or without having the power turned on). They work great and turned on they allow you to hear what's going on around you like traffic on the street, someone trying to get your attention or a dog coming up to you. All without letting the noise of whatever lawn equipment your using bothering you or interfering. The headphone jack is 3.5mm which is your normal headphone jack size.

Answer:	If the batteries die or you leave them on and forget(as I have done) They will function as regular ear protection but they will lose the ability to amplify regular sounds. Question:	Using these in a machine shop setting, can you still converse with shop mates as needed
Answer:	Not unless it is far away. It blocks enough noise so that your hearing isn't damaged if you use power tools, etc., but you can still hear what people are saying when you have them on. If the idea is to wear them when sleeping to block out noise, it might mostly do that but would be really uncomfortable. If that's the objective, I'd get a noise machine or a loud fan.

Answer:	Short answer is yes. It will block out 20 dB of the sound. 80 dB is about as loud as an average vacuum cleaner. Take off 28 dB and you would still hear the equivalent of loud speech. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Good question, i use them in my workshop all the time. It is important to hear how a saw or router is running while you are using it, with these i can still hear them running but they dampen the harsh piercing volume and pitch. Hope this helps.

Answer:	My S.O. snores rather loud and I simply use ear plugs (there are actually several varieties out there that reduce 34db as well) so I can comfortably move around as needed. I wouldn't get these for sleeping.
Question:	Is there any protection if the batteries die on you in the field/range? I.E. What happens to noises above the 82dB range with no batteries
Answer:	They were very comfortable wearing them for 8-10 hrs a day for about 6 months. Around that time I noticed they started to become very uncomfortable. Turns out the bottom half of the cushions go from very soft when new to very hard due to skin oils. I found a 3M manufacturer with this explanation. Can't imagine why this sort of defect hasn't been resolved for ear muffs in general, but since I have to wear them to continue working from home with toddlers I'll just be ordering another pair and try to keep them a little cleaner I guess. Maybe that will extend their life before I have to replace them.

Question:	Why do these have a list price of $39.99 when nowhere on the internet, even the manufacturers website, are they listed for that much? Seems deceptive
Answer:	I dont see why not. I use it for shooting but plan to explore it's functionality in other areas as well. It has the amplification feature that can be controlled with the volume knob and on the highest setting can pick up sound from a surprising distance. Once a sound becomes over 82db it deadens the sound to a comfortable level. I don't have experience with their ability to deaden the specific sounds of woodworking equipment, so I'm not sure how they will handle some of the higher pitched sounds a saw can make. Although I would anticipate it would be fine since they handle a gunshot.

Answer:	Yes, It is .here i would like to explain the meaning of 34nrr: According to EPA requirements, the NRR rating on the packaging of each hearing protection device should be between 0 and 34; the higher the number, the more effective the device. To determine the decibel subtraction applied with this device, take the NRR number and subtract 7, then divide by 2. For example, if the NRR of the equipment is 23, the actual noise reduction will be (23-7)/2 = 8. Therefore, if you are always exposed to the sound of workshop tools at 90 dB, the equipment will reduce the noise to approximately 82 dB, making it within an acceptable range within an 8-hour working day. it means our earmuff it is not noise cancellation earmuff ,it is just a earmuff which can reduce the noise. whether it can be worked depends on the noise environment you work in, we suggest you wear ear plug with this earmuff when you have to expose in a long time noise environment.
