Ironclad Heavy Utility Work Gloves HUG, High Abrasion Resistance, Performance Fit, Durable, Machine Washable, Sized S, M, L, XL, XXL (1 Pair)

Ironclad

Based on 2 reviews Check latest price

Product description

One piece clarino synthetic leather palm. Abrasion resistant, double stitched DuraClad palm pads. Breathable, flexible fabrics designed for all day use. ArmorFlex finger sidewalls. Terry cloth sweat wipe. DuraClad Reinforced thumb, saddle and fingertips

Ironclad has given hands a new lease with their high-tech approach to glove design. Ironclad gloves are made to protect workers' hands better than other work gloves, without feeling clumsy the way so many work gloves can. The first thing we noticed about these gloves is that they're tailored to fit the natural curve hands have in a resting position, rather than being cut straight, so when the hand isn't working, it can actually relax without the glove pulling the fingers in an uncomfortable direction. The palm of this general-utility glove is made of Amara, a synthetic material that mimics the resilience, grip, and comfort of suede while remaining machine-washable and resistant to water damage. High-wear areas are reinforced with tough DuraClad fabric, making these the toughest grip gloves we've ever worn. The fingertips are also reinforced, yet we had no problem with dexterous tasks like picking up coins. We also like the cut of the cuff on these gloves. It comes in tight to the wrist to prevent dirt or other materials from pouring in. Why so many other gloves have gaping cuff designs is a mystery. While the gloves themselves won't be damaged by water, they won't keep your hands dry for long if you're working in really wet conditions. But that can be said of most work gloves, and everything considered, Ironclad gloves are some of the toughest, most comfortable, and easiest-to-work-in gloves we've tried. --Brian Trinen

From the Manufacturer

Ironclad's Heavy Utility HUG-03-M is extra durable and is rugged. Our most popular glove has been updated and made even better. A long wearing, tough utility glove with amazing tactile feel and dexterity. Now with additional knuckle protection and reinforced palm areas that are stronger and more flexible than ever, this is one tough glove. Not to mention, they are completely washable, just like every other Ironclad glove. For best results machine wash and hang dry. User questions & answers

Question: How do they fair with chemicals? Specifically industrial bleach
Answer: Yes u can
Question: Will these work with touchscreens
Answer: They slide to the position you need them and then you tighten them down.
Question: Are these suitable for warehouse selection
Answer: I really don't know what they are but I can tell you this, DON'T BUY THESE LIGHT BARS> I bought a smaller set for me wife's car and supposed to be water proof, well the one started filling with water and it has since died. Now it looks like the other one is starting to fill with water and the black paint has come off to show the dingy grayish color. I put this size lite on the back of my F-150, all the black paint has come off both and now it looks as if one of them are getting water inside. Both sets of lite bars were installed by a friend of mine that works at a Ford dealership doing body work, so I can honestly say that they were installed by a professional, and I can also say honestly that both sets were installed on the bumper where they would never be hit with anything when backing up. So I would not trust them regardless of what.
Question: Are they good for working with chain saws and fire wood activities
Answer: Correction to my last statement: According to their information, they draw 3 watts (W) each which totals 36W, and you divide watts by volts to get amps (A), at 36W total they draw 3A total.

User questions & answers

Question: Where are the gloves made
Answer: I believe most of the blue ones are from Malaysia.
Question: Is that 12 pair or 12 gloves
Answer: Twelve pair of gloves in a 12 pack!
Question: that size chart is useless, what measurement do i need for each size
Answer: the 300L is size Large. the letter after the 300 is the size. the 09 is Showas size id number. all sizes will go as follows, 300S-07 - SMALL, 300M-08 is Medium, 300L-09 is Large, 300XL-10 is X-large and 300XXL-11 is XX-Large. let me know if you have any other questions
Question: How long till they begin to rip
Answer: I have been using these for 12 years and have only been through 50 pair or so. It is like anything else, it depends on what you are doing with them. I work in a warehouse lifting boxes and wood pallets, I use them as a sweat mop in the summer, I use them in the yard when I trim trees or brush, I use them for almost all "hands on" type work. I get anywhere from 6 - 10 weeks a pair, washing them in the washer and air drying them on the weekends. I usually have a pair drying and a pair for wearing so the 6 - 10 weeks is actually doubled. After the blue rubber begins to tear and separate they go to the garage for nasty dirty work until they can't take anymore. I have used 3 other brands and will now only use these. My employer used to provide these for us but went the cheap route, so I buy my own in the 12 packs and know I have something that will protect my hands when needed. I know its a long answer for a simple question, but how long something will last is subjective. Unless you think you can rub them against a grinding wheel or dip them in acid...you won't be disappointed in these!

User questions & answers

Question: The size chart does not say what size a women's xl is, only a men's xl is, are these women's or mens size's since they offer the pink in xl
Answer: Sure, you could probably throw these in a washing machine but let me warn you about what might happen if you do. The linings in these gloves are not secured to the outer shell. This means that if your hands get sweaty or wet while wearing the gloves, you will pull the liners inside out when you remove the gloves. After that, the linings are nearly impossible to get back in correctly. I suspect the same would happen if you tossed these in a washing machine. The liners would either turn inside out or otherwise bunch up so badly that youd not be able to wear the gloves again. Can you fix this problem? Yes. You can put a couple of stitches in each finger tip of the gloves to hold the lining in place. This isnt as easy as it sounds. I just did it this evening and it's time consuming and a hassle. It's hard to push a needle and thread through the leather fingertip layer. Maybe you're better at sewing than I am though. Either way, my advice is to buy a different, hopefully better made glove. If the liners in these were secured to the shells these gloves would actually be pretty decent but that isnt the case.
Question: Would these gloves keep my hands warm while working in a -10 degree freezer? Also will they get stiff in that cold of environment
Answer: I saw no size chart on the sales page. What I do know is that I take a medium glove and always have. I bought this glove in medium and as always, the medium size fit. Good luck.
Question: What country is this made in
Answer: This is the second pair I've purchased. I buy them for my son. He likes them the best of any gloves he's tried. He said they have good grip but are lightweight and flexible. They last quite awhile, too. Hope this helps.
Question: How can I determine my size
Answer: In my opinion, a medium size glove will fit you well.
