Answer:	These gloves are stuffed with kevlar. Some seriously tough stuff capable of stopping out of control power tools from shredding your mitts or sharp steel from cutting your palms. It is a fabric though which means anything pointy enough to get through regular cloth will go straight through it. You need a glove with puncture resistance not cut resistance to deal with spines. Ordinary leather gloves made with a tough hard leather will serve you better.

Answer:	To me these gloves do not run large. They actually may be a little smaller than expected. It is a snug and form fitting feel.

Answer:	This will be warm in cool, dry weather. They are not designed as a winter glove although the layer of Kevlar makes them 'warmer' than an unlined glove. Answer:	Hi Jared - Both of our Titan XT models no longer have a velcro cuff. The video shows an older design. The images currently on Amazon are the most accurate. This newer cuff is a stretchable neoprene. If you have an extra wide hand it can be harder to get into, but once in, it makes for a more secure fit.
Question:	How do these hold up in the rain since i work outside
Answer:	Your hands will get wet. I'm a firefighter and used them for hydrant testing this week. They will protect from cuts and injuries but there is no waterproof membrane. They are still comfortable when wet but your hands will get "pruney". They don't hold a lot of water so there isn't an increase in weight. I like them but you may want to consider a gortex type glove if you will be working in a lot of rain or with a lot of water.

Question:	Would these protect while working with concrete pavers? Other gloves get torn up by the rough edges
Answer:	Yes but only so much. Concrete pavers and bricks and block are probably the single toughest applications for gloves. Those rough edges just tear up all forms of gloves. What you will get with this glove is great Protection in that process. The alternative is to go through a pair -or 3 pairs -per day of the lowest cost glove you can find and use. Compare that use and cost vs this General Utility w Kevlar. I think your spend will be close to even but you'll use 1 pair instead of 7 or 8. You have a tough application for sure. I am not sure there is a perfect glove out there for such a tough task. It I do know we'll last longer than others and keep your hands safer. It is up to you if that cost per pair is worth it. Question:	Has anyone used these gloves around a heat source? I'm wondering if I can use these gloves with a campfire - i.e. to pick up a burning log or ember
Answer:	These gloves are not designed to protect against flame or heat. The outer shell of the glove is made of synthetic materials that will drip or melt when exposed to sparks or flames. The innermost layer of Kevlar is heat resistant in addition to cut resistant, however, since the outer glove is can drip and melt it does not function in this application. Please know that Youngstown does offer a number of gloves that are Flame and Heat resistant. Any our our leather gloves that are lined with Kevlar are flame, heat, cut and puncture resistant. Question:	Are these gloves safe for use with installing barbed wire on fencing
Answer:	i"ve used them on barbed wire thorn bushes, black berry briars , rose bushes, thorny vines, just grab stuff and pull it out. no problem. common sense tells you though that no glove under $50.00 is going to be 100% poke through proof but these are great gloves. lasted me about 8 months doing all kinds of outdoor labor from what i mentioned above to moving glass sheets to slinging fire wood and plywood and lumber. id make sure and get the cut resistant kind and your good.

Answer:	If by “padded” you mean “protected”, yes. These gloves work very well: we have a cat that turns feral if you try and put him in a carrier. Had we purchased these gloves sooner, we’d not have the scars we got from his teeth and claws! The gloves protect while allowing you to have decent hand manipulation.
Question:	Could these gloves stand a snapping turtle bite
Answer:	Older Adult Male Alligator Snapping Turtles commonly reach weights of 100 lbs and above. There have been some that have been certified as weighing over 200 lbs. There is one in Kansas, that is reported to have reached a weigh of over 400 lbs. but, its weight was never certified. A full grown adult alligator snapping turtle can snap a wood broom handle in half. There have been cases reported where they have totally removed the finger(s) on a human hand. These gloves are very good quality but they are made to protect your hands from the teeth of animals - not the brute force of a large adult alligator snapping turtle that can snap a wood broom handle in half. The gloves could "Stand a snapping turtle bite" it is what is inside the gloves (your fingers), that could not stand a large adult alligator snapping turtle bite. Answer:	If it is a very young small infant Velociraptor, it will probably offer some protection from bites since they have the smallest teeth of the two creatures that you mention. However, even at a very early age they have huge talons on their feet. They will likely use these to disembowel you and feed on your soft organs in the abdominal region so your hands should be fine. Regarding the use of these gloves when you encounter a much larger and more powerful Tyrannosaurs Rex you should not feel a thing. This is largely because in one swift bite it is likely to remove the top half of your torso snapping your spinal column. You should feel no pain after that in your hands or anywhere else. Answer:	I've only used them on glass. We have a frame shop with a lot of cut glass to recycle. I've never even been slightly cut with these gloves, nor had a puncture. I do believe they would work well with handling cacti.

Question:	Blackberry thorns puncture most gloves. Do these Kevlar gloves protect front and back of hands? And what size hand fits the Medium, vs what size hand fits the Large
Answer:	I cannot honestly answer that question.as far as the front of the gloves are concerned I am more than positive that they would protect against the thorns, the backs of the gloves which are the yellow part would not.the size is pretty precise, I wear a large size in the latex style gloves, and these Kevlar gloves fit my hand well although a little looser than most latex gloves.Hope that was helpful:-)

Answer:	Once I saw them, I realized that I wouldn't want to test that claim. We do love the gloves though for gardening! We live in AZ and when you trim cactus plants you need all the protection you can get!
