They usually come in +1.5 and +2.0, this indicates their magnifying ability. 1.5 magnifies things by one and a half times your normal vision. The 2.0's are 2 times your normal vision. They are only for viewing things up close, and fall out of focus as things get farther away. Exactly like looking thru a magnifying glass. They work great for those of us whose arms have grown too short to read normal sized print (or fine print for younger eyes). They do not magnify distant items like a binocular would, they are only for up close items you are straining to see clearly. Hope this helps. |

I really like these glasses and use them all the time in the shop and most of the things I need them for are 1 to 3 feet away from my eyes and they work just fine for that. |
