Answer:	It's an excellent headlamp, not zoomed out it has a very large spread easily 11 ft -12 ft diameter, use the zoom and it has a very long range field of throw we're talking like an auto headlight and it still has a good diameter 6 ft+. I was blown away by how bright it is (don't stare into it) and bought a second one for my sister plus one more right now for me. Made with quality materials it actually is metal not plastic and the battery compartment is fully enclosed plastic box with a notch/tab lock door, other brands just have plastic case for batteries with a thin rubber cover between the back of your head and the batts. Green/Red lighted on/off battery charge indicator switch on top of the lamp, even that is rubber with screwed down metal bezel, the magnifying lens is glass not plastic, plus the usual red rear led on back of battery compartment. I still feel lucky I found this, others don't even come close.
